This document provides information and instructions for various Casio watch modules.

Water Resistance

Important Information: Read This First

For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited:

If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.

Watches are classified by water resistance ratings (from I to V) according to their degree of protection against water. Consult the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.

Notes:

When using the product in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.

Crown Operation

Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.

Note: Some water-resistant models are equipped with a screw-lock crown.

Setting the Current Time

The procedure for setting the current time varies depending on the module.

Modules 1362, 1398, 1770, 2799, 3378, 4370

Pull out the crown. Turn it to set the hands to the current time. Push the crown back to its original position.

  1. When the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull out the crown. The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown to set the hands to the current time. Set the minute hand 4-5 minutes ahead of the current time, then turn it back.
  3. Close and secure the crown upon hearing the time signal.

  1. When the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull out the crown. The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown to set the hands to the current time. To fine-tune the current time, move the minute hand back 4-5 minutes from the desired value, then return it to the current value.
  3. Push the crown back to its original position to resume time display.

Setting the Current Time:

  1. When the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull out the crown. The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown to set the hands to the current time. For more precise setting, move the minute hand back 4-5 minutes from the desired value, then return it to the current value.
  3. Push the crown back to its original position to resume time display.

Setting the Date and Day of Week

To ensure the date and day of week change at midnight, do not perform date settings between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM.

  1. Pull out the crown to the first click.
  2. Set the date by turning the crown counter-clockwise.
  3. Set the day of the week by turning the crown clockwise. Day of the week abbreviations are in English or Spanish.

4. Push the crown back to its original position.

Watches with Backlight

Watches with Rotating Bezel

Turn the bezel to align the marker with the minute hand. After some time, you can tell how much time has passed since you aligned the marker with the minute hand.
