Important Information Before Use
Water Resistance
For all watch categories, the following are prohibited:
- Pressing buttons underwater
- Moving hands underwater
- Unscrewing the crown underwater
If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V) according to their degree of water protection. Consult the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.
Level | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Washing, etc. | Diving, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes
- Level I: Watches are not protected from water. Avoid any moisture.
- Level II (WR - Water Resistant): Indicates the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause problems.
- Level III (5 Bar / 50 meters): Watches can withstand water pressure for showering and brief swimming.
- Level IV (10 Bar / 100 meters): Watches can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
- Level V (20 Bar / 200 meters): Watches can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Condensation may form on the inside of the glass under conditions of rapid temperature change. This is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of these watches and accepts no claims from third parties.
General Notes
Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
Screw-Lock Crown
Some water-resistant models are equipped with a screw-lock crown. To pull out the crown, unlock it by rotating it in the direction indicated in the diagram. Do not use excessive force, as this may cause damage. The watch is not water-resistant when the crown is pulled out. After performing any necessary operations, return the crown to its original position and lock it.
