IMPORTANT INFORMATION - READ FIRST
Water Resistance
For all watch categories, the following are prohibited:
- Pressing buttons underwater.
- Moving the hands underwater.
- Unscrewing the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Watches are classified into levels (Level I to Level V) according to their degree of water resistance. Consult the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.
Level | Case Marking | Splash, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Washing Machine, etc. | Underwater Swimming, Diving, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT 300 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- I Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to any moisture.
- II WR (Water Resistant) means the model is water-resistant according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems.
- III Water resistance to 5 Bar (50 meters) means the watch can withstand water pressure as indicated and can be used while showering and for brief swimming.
- IV Water resistance to 10 Bar (100 meters) means the watch can be used for ordinary swimming and snorkeling.
- V Water resistance to 20 Bar (200 meters) means the watch can be used for scuba diving (excluding dives requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
When using the watch in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept any claims from third parties.
Crown Operation
Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
Note: Some water-resistant models are equipped with a screw-lock crown.
To pull out such a crown, you must unlock it by turning it in the direction indicated [➡️]. Do not use excessive force when pulling out the crown, as this may cause damage.
Note that the watch is no longer protected against water and moisture when the crown is pulled out. After completing any operations with the crown, return it to its original position and lock it.
