1. Getting Started

Overview

The Life Fitness Indoor Cycle is equipped with numerous excellent features to enhance cardiovascular health, build muscle tone, and improve endurance. It is important to note that regular maintenance and upkeep are essential to ensure the equipment remains in excellent condition and maintains its reliability. Following the maintenance procedures outlined in this manual will maximize equipment stability and extend its lifespan, ensuring long-term, trouble-free operation with minimal maintenance.

Safety Instructions

CAUTION: Before using the indoor cycle, please read and follow all safety precautions and instructions in this manual. Improper assembly, use, or maintenance may void the warranty.

Except for cleaning or user maintenance, all repairs must be performed by an authorized service representative. This product contains no user-serviceable parts.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious injury from improper equipment use, always read and strictly follow these important safety guidelines before operating the indoor cycle.

It is the responsibility of the equipment owner to ensure that all users are informed of all usage warnings and precautions, and that only persons trained by a professional instructor may use this exercise bike independently.

The exercise bike must be correctly installed and inspected before use, as specified in this manual.

The indoor cycle must be placed in a dry, clean indoor environment. Do not place the indoor cycle in a garage, covered patio, or any other outdoor space, or near water sources or swimming pools. The indoor cycle's operating temperature should be between 15°C and 40°C (59°F and 104°F), with a relative humidity not exceeding 65%.

The exercise bike must be placed on a stable, level surface. If placing the bike on a wood floor or carpet, it is recommended to use a dedicated floor mat underneath to prevent floor damage.

Only regular inspection of the indoor cycle for potential damage and wear (such as fasteners, emergency brake, pedals, straps, etc.) can ensure its safety performance. To ensure regular inspection procedures are followed, consult an authorized service provider or contact the manufacturer directly.

Regularly perform all maintenance, upkeep, and inspection steps as described in this manual. If any parts are defective, they must be replaced immediately, and the equipment must not be used until repaired. Only use genuine manufacturer-supplied parts. Repairs must only be performed by technically qualified personnel authorized by the manufacturer.

Ensure that unsupervised children are kept away from the training equipment at all times.

This training equipment is intended for use by children aged 14 and over, and by individuals with limited experience and knowledge, under supervision, after receiving guidance on safe equipment use and understanding the associated risks. Children under 14 years of age, and individuals with impaired physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, are prohibited from using this equipment. Children must not perform cleaning or routine maintenance tasks without supervision. Children must not use the equipment as a toy.

Individuals weighing over 330 lbs (150 kg) are prohibited from using the indoor cycle.

When operating the exercise bike, always wear tight-fitting cycling attire or sportswear, and secure athletic shoes (cycling shoes are recommended). Loose shoelaces can get caught in the drive system, causing injury.

This bike features a fixed-gear flywheel design. The pedals will continue to move with the flywheel until it stops completely. The motion can only be stopped by using the emergency brake or by gradually reducing the pedaling cadence in a controlled manner. Resistance must be maintained during use to control pedaling cadence. Do not adjust the handlebars or seat during exercise. Do not pedal backward.

Stop exercising and seek medical attention immediately if you feel unwell or dizzy. If you are taking medication that may affect your physical or cardiovascular function, consult your physician to adjust your personal exercise parameters accordingly.

All data displayed on the console (especially power values from the integrated power sensor) is for informational purposes only and to guide your workout. Do not exceed your physical limits during exercise.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition or physical impairment, it is advisable to consult a physician to determine the most suitable training plan. Improper training or excessive intensity can seriously harm your health. The manufacturer assumes no liability for health risks, personal injury, property damage, or indirect losses resulting from the use of this equipment, unless such damages are caused by material and/or manufacturing defects and the manufacturer's fault.

The classification of power and heart rate training zones is based on the average fitness level of the general population. Actual training zones may vary significantly depending on training type, health status (e.g., medication use), and fitness level. It is recommended to develop a reasonable personalized training plan under medical supervision and plan your individual training program based on this data.

Never train beyond your capabilities.

Stop exercising and seek medical attention immediately if you feel unwell or dizzy.

Color-coded training zones are for guidance only.

If you are taking medication that may affect your physical or cardiovascular function, consult your physician to adjust your personal exercise parameters accordingly.

Stability experts approve two primary cleaning agents: PureGreen 24 and Gym Wipes. Both cleaners effectively remove dust, dirt, and sweat from the equipment. PureGreen 24 and Gym Wipes feature antimicrobial formulas that are disinfectants, effectively combating MRSA and H1N1.

PureGreen 24 is a spray that is convenient for gym staff to use. Spray the cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and wipe the equipment from top to bottom. For routine disinfection, allow PureGreen 24 to remain on the equipment for at least 2 minutes; for controlling fungi or viruses, allow it to remain for at least 10 minutes.

Gym Wipes are large, durable wipes that can be used to wipe down equipment before or after a workout. For routine disinfection, use Gym Wipes to wipe the equipment for at least 2 minutes.

To order these cleaning agents, contact Customer Support at 1-800-351-3737 or email: customersupport@lifefitness.com.

You can also clean the console display and all exterior surfaces with mild soap and water or a mild, non-abrasive household cleaner. Use only a soft microfiber cloth. Dampen the cloth with the cleaner for wiping. Do not use cleaners containing ammonia or acidic ingredients. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Do not use paper towels. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the equipment surface.

Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance

WARNING: Please strictly follow these maintenance instructions.

  • All maintenance and upkeep tasks must be performed at the specified intervals to ensure optimal operational safety and equipment lifespan.
  • Failure to perform maintenance and upkeep at the specified intervals will result in abnormal product wear and void the warranty.
  • If you have any questions regarding maintenance and upkeep requirements, please contact our technical support team.
  • Use only our recommended acid-free, solvent-free maintenance agents to prevent damage to Indoor Cycle components.

Daily Maintenance

  1. Ensure the Indoor Cycle is kept level and free from wobbling.
  2. Cleaning Standards: For hygiene reasons, the Indoor Cycle must be cleaned regularly after each use.
  • Ensure sufficient soft cloths/paper towels and appropriate disinfectant are available.
  • First, treat the seat and handlebar contact areas with a suitable disinfectant, then thoroughly wipe down all surfaces of the Indoor Cycle to remove any bodily fluids.
