Installation Guide
Step 1: Plug in the devolo Magic 2 LAN triple adapter
Plug the devolo Magic 2 LAN triple adapter into an available wall outlet. Wait until the LED indicator flashes white (approximately 15 seconds).

Step 2: Plug in the devolo Magic LAN adapter
Plug the devolo Magic LAN adapter into another available wall outlet. Connect it to your router using the included LAN cable.

Caution: ⚠️ Tripping hazard from connected network cables. Ensure network cables are laid safely and do not obstruct access to power outlets or connected devices. Ethernet cable (Cat.5e UTP) is not intended for in-wall use.
Step 3: Automatic Encryption
The encryption process between the adapters happens automatically. During this time, the LEDs on both adapters will flash white.

Step 4: Pairing Complete
The process is finished when the LEDs on all connected devices turn solid white. This process typically takes a maximum of 3 minutes.

PLC Button and LED Status
Understand the functions of the PLC button and the meaning of the LED indicators:

LED Behavior
| LED Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Solid white | The devolo Magic LAN adapter is working perfectly and connected to other devolo Magic adapters. |
| Fast flashing white | The adapter is currently pairing with another adapter. |
| Flashing red | The adapter is not connected to the network*. |
| Slow flashing white | The adapter is in standby mode. |
| Alternating white and red | The adapter is currently undergoing a software update. |
| Solid white followed by short flashing red | The adapter has a poor Powerline connection. |
| Solid red | The adapter is currently in the start-up process. |
| None | The adapter cannot see any other devolo Magic adapters, or its LED function has been disabled by the user. |

Help: Manual Pairing
If automatic pairing during initial installation was unsuccessful, you can pair the Magic adapters manually.
Step 1: Prepare for Manual Pairing
Plug the devolo Magic LAN adapter into an available wall outlet and wait until the LED flashes white (approximately 15 seconds).

Step 2: Initiate Pairing
Within 3 minutes, press the button on the side of your devolo Magic LAN adapter that is connected to the router. Then, press the button on your second Magic LAN adapter.
