The following tools may be needed for installation:
- Screwdriver ?
- Spirit level ⚖️
- Scissors ✂️
- Pencil ✏️
- Measuring tape ?
- Hacksaw ? (potentially for adjusting the blind width)
Assembly and Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Positions
Measure and mark the desired positions for the mounting brackets on the wall or window frame. Ensure a minimum clearance of 5 cm (1 15/16 inches) from the wall edge and a minimum of 5 mm (3/16 inches) from the ceiling.
Step 2: Attach Mounting Brackets to Wall
Securely attach the mounting brackets to the wall at the marked positions using appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included). Ensure the brackets are level using a spirit level. The diagrams show two different types of brackets, suggesting varied mounting options.
Step 3: Prepare Roller Blind Fabric
If necessary, the roller blind fabric may need to be trimmed to size. Diagrams indicate using scissors ✂️ and a hacksaw ?, with measurements such as 35 mm (1 3/8 inches) and Zmm (Z") possibly relating to trimming or specific installation clearances.
Step 4: Insert Bottom Bar
Insert the bottom bar into the hem of the roller blind fabric. Specific dimensions for different blind widths (e.g., 600 mm, 800-1400 mm) and clearance (Z= Max 150 mm) are indicated.
Step 5: Attach End Caps
Attach the end caps to the roller tube. These caps house the mechanism for connecting to the brackets and may include a pull cord attachment point.
Step 6: Connect Pull Cord Assembly
Attach the pull cord assembly and handle to the designated point on the roller blind, usually on one of the end caps or the bottom bar.
Step 7: Mount Roller Blind to Brackets
Align the roller blind assembly with the mounted brackets on the wall. The roller tube ends are designed to fit into the brackets.
Step 8: Secure Roller Blind Assembly
Engage the roller blind assembly with the wall brackets. This often involves a click mechanism or a screw to secure it firmly in place. The diagrams show a 'Click!' confirmation.
Step 9: Operate and Adjust Blind
Test the operation of the roller blind by pulling the cord. Ensure it rolls up and down smoothly. Adjustments may be needed for proper function.
Step 10: Dispose of Packaging
Dispose of packaging materials responsibly, preferably through recycling. ♻️
