Tchibo Dust Catcher for Drilling

Important Instructions

The dust catcher is designed to collect dust generated during drilling in dry environments. It is suitable for drill bits with a diameter of 4 - 10 mm.

The dust catcher is designed for domestic use and is not suitable for trade use.

Safety Precautions:

• The dust catcher contains a small part that can be fatal if swallowed. Keep the dust catcher out of reach of children.
• Be careful not to damage electrical wires or pipes in the wall or ceiling while drilling.
• Exercise caution during drilling and ensure the drill bit does not slip. There is a risk of injury!

Usage

1. Insert a suitable drill bit into the drill.
2. Mark the spot on the wall where you want to drill.
3. Attach the dust catcher to the drill bit with the recess facing forward. [Diagram showing drill bit and dust catcher attachment]
4. Position the drill bit vertically at the marked spot on the wall.
5. Push the dust catcher forward so that the dome of the dust catcher rests against the wall.
6. Hold the dust catcher in this position to prevent it from slipping.
7. Drill the hole. Keep the drill straight so that the drill bit and dust catcher do not touch each other.
8. Continue to hold the dust catcher in place and carefully pull the drill bit out of the hole and the dust catcher. The round brush in the base of the dust catcher brushes dust from the rotating drill bit.
9. Remove the dust catcher from the wall. Continue to hold it vertically so that dust cannot escape from the openings.

Emptying the Dust Catcher / Cleaning

Empty the dust catcher after each use and clean it regularly.

Emptying

1. Hold the dust catcher over a waste bin.
2. Turn the dome counter-clockwise and remove it. [Diagram showing dome removal]
3. Empty the dust from the dome and cover into the waste bin and clean the dome and cover by wiping.
4. Reattach the dome and turn it clockwise to close the dust catcher again. [Diagram showing dome reattachment]

Cleaning

For thorough cleaning, remove the round brush insert from the opening in the base of the dust catcher and blow out any drilling dust or clean it with a suitable brush. If necessary, gently squeeze the brush insert and push it back into the opening for reinsertion.

All parts can be washed with warm water and mild detergent. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling.
