Quick Start Guide

Thank you for choosing a Denon AV receiver. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your AV receiver.

Before You Begin: Required for Setup
Ensure you have the following items for setup:
- TV: [Television]
- Speaker cables: [Speaker cables]
- HDMI cable: [HDMI cable]
- Subwoofer cable: [Subwoofer cable]
- Speaker systems: [Speaker systems]
Note: For devices compatible with Deep Color and 4K, use a “High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet” displaying the HDMI logo.

Setup Process Overview
The setup involves three main steps:
- Installing batteries in the remote control unit.
- Connecting the receiver.
- Following the On-Screen Setup Assistant.
Step 1: Install Remote Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert two R03/AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
Step 2: Connect the Receiver
2.1 Connect Power
Place the receiver near your TV. Connect the supplied power cord to the receiver and plug it into a household power outlet (AC 230 V, 50/60 Hz).
2.2 Connect via HDMI
Use an HDMI cable to connect the receiver to your TV. Connect the cable from the receiver's 'HDMI OUT MONITOR' port to your TV's 'HDMI IN' port.
2.3 Turn on TV
Use the TV remote control to power on your television.
2.4 Select TV Input
On your TV, select the correct HDMI input source using the TV remote control (e.g., press INPUT or TV/VIDEO).
Step 2.5 & 2.6: Power On and Verify
2.5 Turn on Receiver
Press the power button [▶️] on the front of the receiver.
2.6 Verify Connection
Check your TV screen for the "Setup Assistant" which prompts you to select a language (e.g., English, Español, Français). If the screen does not appear, recheck connections and repeat the steps.
Step 3: On-Screen Setup Assistant
The Setup Assistant will guide you through connecting and configuring your speakers and components. Use the remote control and follow the on-screen instructions, pressing the ENTER button when prompted.
