JBL BAR 300MK2 User Manual
Concise and SEO-optimized guide for the JBL BAR 300MK2 soundbar.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Line Voltage: The JBL BAR 300MK2 is designed for 100-240 volt AC, 50/60 Hz. Connecting to a voltage different from that for which the product is intended may pose a safety hazard and fire risk, as well as damage the unit. If you have doubts about the voltage requirements of the specific model or the line voltage in your area, contact your retailer or customer service before connecting the unit to a wall outlet.
Do Not Use Extension Cords: To avoid safety risks, use only the power cord supplied with the unit. We recommend not using extension cords with this product. As with all electrical devices, do not run power cords under carpets or carpeting, and do not place heavy objects on them. Damaged power cords must be immediately replaced by an authorized service center with cords that meet factory specifications.
Handle AC Power Cord Carefully: When disconnecting the AC power cord from the AC outlet, always grip the plug, never pull the cord. If you do not intend to use this speaker for a period of time, unplug the plug from the AC outlet.
Do Not Open the Cabinet: This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Opening the speaker can create risks of electric shock, and any modification to the product will void the warranty. If liquid accidentally falls inside the appliance, immediately unplug it from the AC power source and consult an authorized service center.

5. CONNECTIONS
5.1 Connecting to TV and Digital Devices
For audio playback via the soundbar, connect it to the TV using the supplied HDMI cable or an optical cable (sold separately). An HDMI connection supports digital audio and video with a single cable. An HDMI connection is the best option for connecting the soundbar.
NOTES: When both HDMI and optical cables are connected to the soundbar for TV audio input, the HDMI connection has priority. Full compatibility with all HDMI-CEC devices is not guaranteed. * The HDMI cable (for connecting digital devices) and the optical cable are sold separately.
5.1.1 TV (HDMI eARC)
(Recommended connection for the best Dolby Atmos experience)
NOTES: To play audio from the digital device connected to the TV, select the TV source (see "7.2 Playback from TV Source"). With Virtual Dolby Atmos, the soundbar's Dolby surround upmixer allows you to expand the traditional multi-channel audio of the Dolby Digital format, including 5.1 and 7.1 content, and offers an immersive 3D Atmos experience.
