Solar Array Connection Guide
This section provides a visual guide for connecting the solar panel within a system.
Solar Panel Representation:
- Solar Panel FRONT: Depicts the front face of the panel, showing the photovoltaic cells. Dimensions are approximately 35.43 inches in height and 22.83 inches in width.
- Solar Panel BACK: Shows the rear of the panel, where electrical connections are typically made.
System Diagram and Connection Sequence:
The diagram illustrates the integration of the solar panel with other system components:
Components:
- STORAGE BATTERY: Stores electrical energy.
- SOLAR CONTROLLER: Manages the charging of the battery from the solar panel and supplies power to loads.
- INVERTER: Converts DC power from the battery to AC power.
- DC LOADS: Devices that operate on direct current.
Connection Order:
- Step 1: Connect the STORAGE BATTERY to the SOLAR CONTROLLER.
- Step 2: Connect the Solar Panel to the SOLAR CONTROLLER.
- Step 3: Connect the INVERTER to the STORAGE BATTERY and connect DC LOADS to the SOLAR CONTROLLER.
The diagram uses numbered callouts (1, 2, 3) to indicate the sequence of these connections.
WARNING
RISK OF DEATH AND/OR FATAL INJURY
Solar Panels generate direct current under sunlight. Exercise caution when handling exposed wires. Ensure installation occurs in a secure environment, being mindful of weather conditions and the presence of other individuals. Electric current poses a fire hazard; avoid areas containing flammable gases, vapors, or other flammable substances.
