ONE FOR ALL URC-6430 Universal Remote Control

Instruction Manual & Code List

Introduction

This document provides instructions for setting up and using the ONE FOR ALL URC-6430 universal remote control.

Getting Started

Batteries

Insert 2 new AAA batteries. After inserting the batteries, the TV key should be blinking every 3 seconds. If not, press and release any key.

Region Setting

The remote features a Region Setting to configure the Brand-Set-List (see SimpleSet) specifically for your region (e.g., GB/IRL, Deutschland, France, España, Italia, INT). Press and hold the digit corresponding to your region for 3 seconds. The TV LED will blink twice. A reset procedure is available if the wrong region is selected by holding 'Setup', pressing 'POWER', and then holding the correct region digit for 3 seconds.

SimpleSet Setup

This feature helps configure the remote for your devices. Check if your device brand is listed in the SimpleSet Brand List. If yes, remember the digit assigned to your brand and follow steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 from SimpleSet. If no, find your brand in the Code List and follow the Direct Code Set Instructions or find your brand at www.simpleset.com. The Auto Search function can be used if your brand is not listed at all.

SimpleSet Brandset List

Lists brands for TV, Television/LED/Plasma/LCD/Projector, PVR (Digital TV Receiver, Satellite/Cablebox Set-Top-Box), and DVD (DVD player/DVD-R/Blu-ray) devices across various regions (GB/IRL, Deutschland, France, España, Italia, INT).

Device Setup Process

To set up a device (e.g., Samsung TV):

  1. Ensure your TV is switched on (not on standby).
  2. Press and hold the "Setup" key for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.
  3. Select the device key (e.g., TV) for the device type you wish to control.
  4. Press and hold the "Digit Key" assigned to your brand (e.g., "Digit 9" for a Samsung TV) until your device switches OFF. Release the "Digit Key" as soon as your device switches OFF.

If your device does not switch OFF, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4.

Problems & Solutions (SimpleSet)

Troubleshooting tips for devices still not switching OFF, devices switching OFF but not being controllable, or ONE FOR ALL controlling the device but some keys not working properly. Solutions include trying Direct Code Set, Auto Search, or visiting www.simpleset.com.

Keypad Functions

Defines the function of various keys:

CombiControl

CombiControl allows control of multiple devices without needing to select the corresponding device key. The functionality of the devices is logically divided on the ONE FOR ALL keypad. It works automatically once at least 2 devices are set up (e.g., a TV and a PVR).

Copy Function (Learning)

The Learning feature allows you to copy one or more functions from your original remote control onto your ONE FOR ALL remote.

  1. Press and hold "Copy" for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.
  2. Select the device key (e.g., TV) for the device type you wish to copy.
  3. Align the original remote and the ONE FOR ALL remote, facing each other (IR emitters 2-5 cm apart). Ensure they are at the same height.
  4. Press the function key on the original remote, then the target key on the ONE FOR ALL remote. The LED will flash rapidly. Repeat for other functions.
  5. Press and hold "Copy" for 3 seconds to exit the Copy feature. The LED will light up twice.

Instructions are provided for deleting a copied function.

Direct Code Set

Use this method if SimpleSet is not successful. Find the code for your device in the Code List. Codes are listed by device type and brand name, with the most popular code listed first. Ensure your device is switched on (not on standby).

  1. Press and hold the "Setup" key for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.
  2. Select the device key (e.g., TV) for the device type you wish to control.
  3. Enter the first 4-digit code listed for your brand (e.g., 0556 for a Bennett TV). The LED will blink twice.
  4. Aim the ONE FOR ALL at your device and press POWER. If your device switches OFF, it should be ready to operate your device.

If your device does NOT switch OFF, repeat the Direct Code Set instructions with the next code listed for your brand.

Problems & Solutions (Direct Code Set)

Troubleshooting tips for when the ONE FOR ALL controls the device but some keys do not work properly, or if the Direct Code Set is not successful. Solutions include trying the next code for your brand or using Auto Search or www.simpleset.com.
