Introduction
The H9 is NovaStar's newest generation of video wall splicer, featuring excellent image quality and designed especially for fine-pitch LED screens. The H9 can function as splicing processors that integrate both video processing and video control capabilities, or as pure splicing processors. The unit features a modular and plug-in design, allowing for flexible configuration and hot-swapping of input and output cards. Its stable performance makes it suitable for various applications including energy, judicial, military, water conservancy, meteorology, enterprise management, metallurgy, banking, finance, national defense, public security, exhibitions, production scheduling, radio and television, educational and scientific research, and stage rental.
Built on a powerful hardware FPGA system architecture with a modular and plug-in design, the H9 offers a stable and highly efficient pure hardware architecture. It supports a variety of connector modules for flexible and personalized configuration, ensuring easy maintenance and a low failure rate. The H9 provides industry-standard input connectors such as HDMI, DVI, DP, VGA, CVBS, SDI, and IP. It supports 10-bit video source input and processing, as well as 4K high-definition inputs and outputs. The H9 also offers three types of LED 4K sending cards, enabling backup between OPT ports and Ethernet ports, and supporting ultra-long distance transmission. It further supports multi-screen and multi-layer management, input/output EDID management and monitoring, input source renaming, BKG and OSD settings, providing a rich image construction experience.
The H9 utilizes a B/S architecture, supporting cross-platform, cross-system access and control without requiring application installation. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Linux platforms, supporting online collaboration for multiple users with fast web page response speeds, enhancing on-site setup efficiency. The H9 also supports online firmware updates for easy hardware updates via PC.

H_4xfiber Sending Card
This card can load up to 20,800,000 pixels (max width: 16,384 pixels, max height: 16,384 pixels). Independent, copy, and backup modes are supported. SM and MM optical modules are supported (up to 10 km transmission distance). Supports 8-bit and 10-bit outputs. Supports 144Hz output. Optical modules support SFP+ encapsulation (10G SFP+ SR, 10G SFP+ LR). Independent mode uses all four OPT ports for output, with each port having the same loading capacity as 8 Ethernet ports.
Control Card
H_Control Card
Features GENLOCK, ETHERNET, USB 1 & USB 2, COM, and Power switch.
- GENLOCK: Supports bi-level and tri-level signals. IN accepts Genlock signal; LOOP loops the Genlock signal.
- ETHERNET: A Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting to control PCs, routers, switches, or PCs for communication, web control, and NovaLCT screen configuration.
- USB 1 & USB 2: 2x USB 2.0 ports for updating device programs and importing/exporting configuration parameters. Note: USB connectors do not provide power.
- COM: A serial port (RS232) for central control systems. IN accepts commands from central control systems; OUT outputs custom commands. Notes: COM port cannot connect to networks or LED cabinets. COM OUT port cannot be used for device cascading control.
- Power switch: ON/ON powers the device on; O/OFF powers the device off.
Specifications: Weight: 500 g; Dimensions: 193 mm × 247.12 mm × 21.15 mm; Power consumption: 6.2 W.
Limitation On Use
- If the total layer quantity in a preset exceeds 16x SL layers, 8x DL layers, or 4x 4K layers, fade transition is not supported; cut transition is enabled by default.
- Layer capacity matches connector specification; if input source specification is lower, the latter prevails (e.g., 1080p input to HDMI 2.0 connector results in 4K layer capacity).
- Only the H_2xfiber input card supports input mosaic on a single card.

Notes and Cautions
Notes For Battery
- The battery is not intended for replacement.
- Improper disposal (fire, crushing, cutting) can cause explosion.
- High temperature or low air pressure environments can cause explosion or leakage of flammable liquid/gas.
Notes for Installation
When installing on a rack, use at least eight M5*8 screws. The rack must support at least four times the total weight of the equipment.
- A. Elevated Operating Ambient: In closed or multi-unit racks, ambient temperature may be higher. Consider the manufacturer's specified maximum ambient temperature (Tma).
- B. Reduced Air Flow: Ensure sufficient air flow for safe operation when installing in a rack.
- C. Mechanical Loading: Mount equipment to avoid hazardous conditions due to uneven mechanical loading.
- D. Circuit Overloading: Consider supply circuit connections and potential overloading effects on protection and wiring. Use equipment nameplate ratings.
- E. Reliable Earthing: Ensure reliable earthing for rack-mounted equipment, paying attention to supply connections other than direct branch circuit connections (e.g., power strips).
