Getting Started & Care

Getting Started

Before first use, remove all labels and wash and dry each item according to the care and use instructions.

Cleaning the Hydro Bottle

For best results, fill the Hydro Bottle with warm water (not exceeding 113°F), secure the Lid onto the Glass Body, and shake for 1 minute. Pour out contents and repeat if necessary.

  • The base of the Hydro Bottle is NOT dishwasher safe. The electrolytic plate should only be cleaned when attached to the Glass Body with the Lid on, as described above.
  • To remove the base: Hold the glass body with one hand and turn the base clockwise. To reattach: Turn the base counter-clockwise until tightened to prevent leaking.
  • While the Glass Body and Lid are dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm water and vinegar is recommended to avoid soap residue.

Compatibility

The Cook's Companion® Hydro Bottle requires 5V @ 5W maximum. Ensure your outlet is compatible.

  • Never submerge or soak the base to prevent electrical shock or damage. Only the electrolytic plate (inside the bottle) can be submerged.
  • The included charging cord is for the Hydro Bottle only.

  • Never plug the cord into the base when filled with water; always empty contents first.

  • Never place the base in the dishwasher.
  • Refer to the cleaning section for proper cleaning instructions.
  • Always store the device in a dry area away from other appliances.
  • Keep away from children and pets.

Your Hydro Bottle: Parts and Assembly

Before using, understand the included parts and how they work. ? Refer to this page for questions.

Parts Description:

The Hydro Bottle consists of the following components:

  • Lid: Seals the bottle.
  • Strap: For carrying or attachment.
  • Glass Body: The main container for water.
  • H2 Micro USB Charging Lead: Connects to the charging port.
  • H2 Function Button: Activates the electrolysis process.
  • Base: Contains the charging port and electronics.
  • Charging Port: Where the charging lead connects.
  • USB: Standard USB connector for power.
  • Charging Cord: Connects the base to a USB power source.

Assembling Your Hydro Bottle ⚙️

To begin:

  • Rinse the interior of the glass body following the cleaning process.
  • Charge the Hydro Bottle before first use: Ensure it's dry, plug the charging lead into the base's charging port, then plug the USB into a compatible port or adapter.
  • The LED lights will be Red while charging. They turn off when fully charged (approx. 2 hours).
  • A full charge provides approximately 20-25 cycles, varying with usage frequency.

Using Your Hydro Bottle ⚙️

After charging, unplug the Hydro Bottle.

  1. Fill the bottle with non-flavored household drinking water, pure water, mineral, or carbonated water. Turn the lid counter-clockwise to open. Fill to about ½ inch from the brim.
  2. Secure the lid by turning it clockwise.
  3. Your Hydro Bottle has two electrolytic processes:
    • Process 1 (3 minutes): Press the function button once. LED turns blue, bottle beeps once. Produces approx. 750ppb Hydrogen. Water may appear cloudy temporarily.
    • Process 2 (6 minutes): Press the function button twice quickly (within 3 seconds). LED turns blue, bottle beeps three times. Produces approx. 930ppb Hydrogen. Water may appear cloudy temporarily.
  4. Enjoy the Hydrogen water immediately, as Hydrogen dissipates over time. For maximum benefit, drink within 1 hour of cycle completion.
  5. To stop a cycle: Hold down the function button until you hear one beep and the LED turns off.

Trouble Shooting Your Hydro Bottle ❓

  • Low Battery: If the bottle beeps three times, stops the process, and the LED blinks red during electrolysis, the battery is low and needs charging.
  • Standby Mode Issue: If the product is fully charged but enters standby mode and beeps three times, ensure the bottle is empty and not using flavored water.
