Lumens

Prepare

This document uses Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 as an example of setting.

Set up Environment

Please connect Cameras, Microphone, and Al-BOX1 with the same Network Switch.

The network setup involves connecting multiple components via Ethernet to a PoE+ Switch (802.3at). Components include: two Lumens Cameras, a Control System (powered by USB Type-C 5V/4A ?), two Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphones, a PC (connected via USB from the switch), and a Display (connected via HDMI from the PC). The switch connects to the LAN. Cable specifications: Ethernet Cat.5e ? or above, HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C to Type-A.

A conference room layout diagram shows a table measuring 8.5m x 5m, with chairs around it. The room dimensions are approximately 10m x 5m. Devices shown include: VC-TR30, Al-Box1, PoE Switch, VC-R31, and a TCC2 microphone. Two microphone zones are indicated: 'Mic 1' and 'Mic 2' placed centrally on the table. Distances are marked: 1.5m from walls to table edges, 10m room length, 5m room width. The diagram also indicates firmware versions: TCC2: 1.8.10, Camconnect Pro: V1.12.4. A legend identifies 'TCC2', 'Seat', 'Lumens Camera', 'Mic 1', and 'Mic 2'.

Screenshot of the 'Zones' tab within the 'TeamConnect Ceiling 2' properties. It shows 'Priority Zone' settings and 'Exclusion Zones' (Zone 1 to Zone 5), all set to 'Off' [toggle-off]. A '3D Overall View' displays a spherical representation of the microphone's coverage, with a beam indicator showing '341° / 27°'. Options to 'Change orientation' [change-orientation] and rotate the 3D model are present.

For TCCM: Set Password

Set the password when using TCCM.

Screenshots illustrate setting the password for TCCM. The '3rd Party Access' section shows 'Secure API' activated with 'Username: api' [username-field] and 'Password: (Unknown)' [password-field]. After editing, the password becomes 'Lumens@123' [password-field]. The 'Device Access' section also shows password entry. A 'CamConnect Pro Setting' panel for 'Array Microphone' lists 'Device IP', 'Port' (443), 'Password' ('Lumens@123'), 'Audio Trigger Level (dB)' (-55), and 'Time To Trigger Preset' (1 Sec).

CamConnect Pro Setting tips

Connection TCC2 and Camconnect Pro

  1. Array Microphone Numbers: Select based on the installed amount.
  2. Select 'Sennheiser TCC2 (Coordinate)', one tab for each microphone.
  3. Enter Microphone's IP address.
  4. Select trigger time (how long a person should take in a zone for a camera preset to be triggered).
  5. Hit Apply [apply].
  6. Connect with the toggle button.

Screenshots show the 'Microphone Setting' interface in CamConnect Pro. The 'Array Microphone Numbers' is set to '2'. Two 'Sennheiser: TCC2(Coordinate)' entries are visible. The 'Device IP' is shown as '192.168.5.123'. 'Port' is '45'. 'Audio Trigger Level (dB)' is '-55', and 'Time To Trigger Preset' is '0.5 Sec'. The 'Device & Camera Mapping' section lists zones and allows assignment of 'Primary Camera' and 'Preset No.'. The 'Apply' [apply] and 'Cancel' [cancel] buttons are visible.

Defining Zones

Microphone 1

  1. After the microphone is connected, press 'Zone setting' [zone-setting] for drawing the sound picking area.
  2. When drawing zones, the red dot indicates the detected voice location. Please draw the zone around the red dot, and click 'Apply' [apply] when finished. Note: The red dot will move, so the four corners of the zone you draw can be adjusted independently. This process may require repeated fine-tuning.
  3. Please remember to press 'Apply' [apply] when finished.

Screenshot of the 'Zone Mode' interface for an 'Array Microphone' (Sennheiser: TCC2). It shows 'Mic. Zone' settings, 'Operation' (Clear All, Apply), and 'Voice Source Detect' [voice-source-detect] with coordinates. A grid represents the room, with a red dot indicating voice source and green squares defining zones. 'Zone 1' is highlighted with coordinates (6.5, 2.9) and 'Zone 2' with (4.86, 3.02).

Microphone 2

The same applies for Microphone 2 as shown in Microphone 1; here is the zone for microphone 2.

Screenshot of the 'Zone Mode' interface for Microphone 2 (Sennheiser: TCC2). It shows a grid with a red dot and green zones, similar to Microphone 1, indicating the sound picking area for Microphone 2. Coordinates and zone numbers are displayed.

Microphone 1 & 2 Summary

A summary diagram illustrates the integration of microphones and cameras. On the left, screenshots of the 'Zone Mode' and 'Device & Camera Mapping' interfaces for Microphone 1 and Microphone 2 are shown. Arrows connect these to a central diagram showing a conference room layout. Cameras (VC-TR30, VC-R31) are positioned around the room. The diagram maps 'Zone 1' to 'Preset 1' for VC-R31, 'Zone 4' to 'Preset 1' for VC-TR30, and similarly maps other zones and presets to specific cameras. The legend indicates 'Zone 1', 'Preset 1', etc., associated with camera positions.

Mapping camera and presets for zones

Microphone 1 Zones

  1. Zone number corresponds as set in Zone Setting.
  2. Assigns cameras and preset per zone.
  3. Put the preset number of the camera.
  4. Press Apply [apply] after mapping each camera and preset per zone or when making changes.

Screenshot of the 'Device & Camera Mapping' interface. 'Mic. Zone' is set to '-1'. 'Zone No.' (1-8) is listed. For each zone, 'Primary Camera' (e.g., VC-R31(192.168.5.117), VC-TR30(192.168.5.120)) and 'Secondary Camera' can be assigned. 'Preset No.' (1-8) and 'Al Setting' (Off/On) are configurable. The 'Apply' [apply] and 'Cancel' [cancel] buttons are at the bottom.

Microphone 2 Zones

Same applies as in microphone 1, and hit apply when mapping or making changes.

Screenshot of the 'Device & Camera Mapping' interface for Microphone 2. It lists 'Zone No.' (1-8) and allows assignment of 'Primary Camera', 'Secondary Camera', 'Preset No.', and 'Al Setting', similar to Microphone 1's mapping.

Microphone 1 and 2 confirmation

Orange LED

  1. Voice tracking is OFF [voice-tracking-toggle].
  2. Orange means zone 6 data is received but no camera or preset is triggered.

Screenshot of the 'Microphone Setting' interface showing 'Voice Tracking' is OFF. The 'Device & Camera Mapping' section shows 'Mic. Zone: 6'. An orange indicator is associated with this zone, signifying data reception without triggering an action.

Green LED

  1. Voice tracking is ON [voice-tracking-toggle].
  2. Green means trigger time is exceeded, and a camera and preset are called to that Zone location.

Screenshot of the 'Microphone Setting' interface showing 'Voice Tracking' is ON. The 'Device & Camera Mapping' section shows 'Mic. Zone: 1'. A green indicator is associated with this zone, signifying that the trigger time has been met, and the corresponding camera and preset have been activated.
