Chapter 1 System Connection
This chapter covers the system connection and the AI-Box1 IO interface.
1.1 System Connection
The system connects to various video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet via an internet connection. A PC, Lumens PTZ Cameras (2-4 required), and an Array Microphone are connected to the CamConnect Processor (AI-Box1) through a PoE Switch. A large screen in the meeting room displays the output. Connections include Ethernet, USB, and HDMI.

1.2 AI-Box1 IO Interface
The AI-Box1 features various ports for connectivity:
- Front Panel: POWER, RESERVE, HDMI OUT, USB OUT.
- Rear Panel: ETHERNET, USB 3.0, USB 2.0.
- Indicators: Power LED.
Connections include Power Adapter, Monitor, Computer, and PoE Switch Keyboard/Mouse.

Chapter 2 Operation Interface
This chapter details the operation interface of the CamConnect Processor, including device settings, camera control, mapping, system settings, and video output.
2.1 Device Setting
This section describes the configuration of devices, including microphones and cameras.
- Profile: Allows selection of default or custom profiles.
- Device Numbers: Specifies the number of connected devices.
- Voice Tracking: Enables or disables voice-activated camera tracking.
- Supported Devices & Settings: Lists connected microphones (e.g., Shure MXA920, MXA310) and their IP/Port configurations.
- Advanced Settings: Includes options for Time To Trigger Preset, Back To Home Time, Back to Home Camera, and Back To Home Position.
- Camera Control & Status: Displays connected cameras, their IP/USB, status (Connected, Stream Error), resolution, and FPS. Options to Add new devices.

9 | Time To Trigger Preset | Audio Reception Delay Settings. When a second sound trigger occurs, there will be a delay in triggering camera preset based on the configured duration. |
10 | Back To Home Time | Return the camera to its home position. If there is no audio input, the camera will move to its home position after the set seconds. |
11 | Back to Home Camera | Select one camera or select all cameras to move to home position. |
12 | Back To Home Position | Camera will return to either Home position or a specific preset position. |
13 | Apply | Confirms changes to settings. |
2.2 Camera Control & Status
This section details how to control and view the status of connected cameras.
- Camera Control & Status Table: Lists devices by Name, IP/USB, Status (Connected, Standby Mode, Connect Error), and Operation (PTZ Control, Delete).
- Resolution / FPS: Settings must match the camera's output settings.
- Refresh / Add: Search for cameras on the network or manually enter an IP address and click [Add]. Note: Ensure cameras and AI-Box1 are on the same network segment.
- Device Name: Displays discovered cameras.
- Connect: Click to connect; connected cameras are highlighted in blue.
- PTZ Control: Click to enable PTZ control. Refer to section 2.2.1 for details.
- Delete: Remove a camera from the list.

2.2.1 PTZ Control
This section describes the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) control interface for cameras.
- Preview window: Displays the camera output.
- Mirror / Flip: Mirror or flip the image.
- Pan/Tilt/Home: Adjust the Pan/Tilt position of the camera. Click [Home] to return to the camera's central position.
- Preset setting: Call Preset Position (click number then preset) or Store Preset Position (click number then Store).
- AF/MF: Switch to Auto/Manual camera lens focus.
- Zoom: Lens Zoom In / Out.
- Exit: Exit the PTZ Control page.

2.3 Device & Camera Mapping
This feature maps microphone audio detection to camera preset positions.
- When a microphone detects sound, the camera moves to a preset position corresponding to the sound's location.
- Mapping Qty.: Select the number of locations to map (up to 128 presets supported). Note: Not supported with Shure MXA310/MXA910/MXA920 and Audio-Technica microphones.
- Indicator: A green light indicates microphone sound detection.
- Array No. / Azimuth Angle: Applicable to Shure/Audio-Technica (Array No.) or Sennheiser/Nureva/Yamaha (Azimuth Angle). Angles can be manually adjusted.
- Primary Camera: Select the primary camera.
- Secondary Camera: Select the secondary camera. This camera moves first if Seamless Switching is enabled and a new preset is triggered.
- Preset No.: Select the preset position for the camera.
- AI Setting: Enable/Disable AI Tracking. Options include Continuous Tracking (camera continuously tracks) and Center Stage (camera centers on individual for 5 seconds before stopping).
- Mic. Array No./Mic. Azimuth Angle: Displays current trigger position/angle information.

2.4 System Settings
Configure system-wide settings including language, microphone quantity, auto-connection, and profile management.
- Language: Set to English.
- Max Microphone Qty.: Connect up to 24 microphones.
- Auto Connection: Settings for automatic reconnection of Sound Device, Camera, and Video Output after AI-Box1 restarts.
- Profile Setting: Save/Load desired profiles. Includes AutoSave Interval and System Startup Waiting Time. The waiting time can be adjusted to ensure proper device connection during boot-up.
- Firmware OTA: Over-The-Air firmware updates.
- Auto Check: Automatically checks for firmware updates.
- Reset: Resets the CamConnect Pro AI-Box1.
- Error Notification: Turns on/off error messages.
- Apply: Confirms and applies settings.
- Network: Configure network settings (DHCP or Static IP).

2.5 Video Output Settings
Configure how video is outputted from the AI-Box1.
- Video Output Mode: Set to UVC, HDMI, or UVC+HDMI.
- Seamless Switching: Enables single-screen output with camera switching triggered by microphone signals.
- Layout Type: Configure video layout: Cross (4-split screen), PBP (Picture by Picture), or Crop.
- Source Position: Custom or Auto.
- Layout: Choose how many camera images are displayed and determine the source for each position.
- Start Video Output: Button to start or stop video output.

2.5.1 Video Output Layout
Visual examples of different video output layouts.
- Cross: Displays cameras in a 4-split screen layout. Examples shown for connecting 1, 2, 3, or 4 cameras.
- PBP (Picture by Picture): Displays cameras side-by-side. Examples shown for connecting 1, 2, 3, or 4 cameras.
- Crop: Allows screen cropping. Examples shown for 'Crop On' and 'Crop Off'.

2.6 Start Video Output
Click the button to output camera images via HDMI, UVC, or HDMI+UVC.
2.7 Extension
Configure extension settings related to audio and video input.
- Reference Audio: Addresses issues where customer voice might not be detected by the ceiling microphone, preventing accidental camera triggers. Requires Lumens audio cable splitter for connection. Settings include Audio Trigger (dB) threshold and Detective Time (seconds).
- Reference Video: Addresses accidental camera triggers from any sound. With a Lumens BC200 auxiliary camera, the system uses AI face recognition to trigger only when an audio source is accompanied by a human face. The BC200 is scheduled for release in Q1 2025. Settings include Auxiliary Camera enable/disable and Vision Zone Detection (not functional).

2.8 Disk Check
Measure the reading from the SD card to check its working condition. The reading data can be provided to Lumens personnel for inspection.

2.9 Information
Displays system information such as version, software update status, and serial number.
- Version: Shows the current firmware version (e.g., 1.9.28).
- Software Update: Button to check for and apply updates.
- Serial Number: Unique identifier for the device.
- Get Help?: Link to support resources.

Chapter 3 Web Interface
This chapter describes the web interface for managing the CamConnect AI-Box1.
3.1 Device Settings
Configure microphone and camera settings via the web interface.
- Microphone Settings:
- Array Microphone Number: Select the number of microphones.
- Devices: Select a microphone.
- Device IP: Enter the microphone's IP address.
- Port: Displays microphone port (e.g., Shure: 2202, Sennheiser: 45, Nureva: 8931, Yamaha: 49280, Audio-Technica: 17300). Note: Only Nureva allows customized PORT.
- Connect: Enable/Disable microphone connection.
- Advanced Function Settings: Includes Audio Trigger Level, Time to Trigger Preset, Back To Home times, and Back To Home Position.
- Device & Camera Mapping: Configure how microphones trigger camera presets. Includes Mapping Qty., Indicator, Array No./Azimuth Angle, Primary/Secondary Camera selection, Preset No., and AI Setting (Continuous Tracking, Center Stage).

3.2 Device - Camera List
View and manage connected cameras through the web interface.
- Camera List: Displays connected cameras with their Device Name, IP/USB, Status, and Operation (PTZ Control).
- Resolution/FPS: Settings must match the camera's resolution settings.
- Refresh: Search for cameras on the network segment.
- Add: Manually enter an IP address to add a camera. Note: Ensure cameras and AI-Box1 are on the same network segment.
- Connect/Disconnect: Enable or disable connection with the camera.
- PTZ Control: Access the camera's webpage for PTZ control. Default account: admin/9999.

3.3 AI Director
The AI Director allows for pre-designed or custom script creation for automated camera and microphone actions.
- Modes: Conversation Mode, Presenter Mode (not available), Cruise Mode (not available), Customize (create unique scripts).
- Edit: Edit script contents.
- Run/Stop: Start or stop script execution.
- Execution Log: Displays script activity.
Script Creation Elements:
- Camera: Assign commands for cameras to move to preset positions or return home.
- Microphone: Set trigger count, audio trigger level, time to trigger, and time to mute. Define actions for 'All Mic off Stream'.
- Layout: Select Video Layout Mode (Cross/PBP) and Video Layout (e.g., 1x1, 1x2). Define video source to specific positions.
- Control: Includes Script Start (with priority), Script End, Delay time (ms, sec, min), Rescheduled in seconds, Repeat Count, Script stop, and Loop Script.

3.4 Video Output Settings
Configure video output settings via the web interface.
- Video Output Mode: HDMI, UVC, or HDMI+UVC.
- Seamless Switching: Enabled for single-screen output with microphone-triggered camera switching.
- Layout Type: Cross (4-split), PBP (Picture by Picture), or Crop.
- Source Position: Custom or Auto.
- Layout: Determine the number of camera images displayed and the source for each position.
- Start Video Output: Button to start or stop video output.

3.5 System- Network
Configure network settings for the AI-Box1.
- Method: DHCP or Static IP.
- IP Address, Netmask, Gateway, DNS: Configurable fields when using Static IP.
- MAC Address: Displayed MAC address.
- Apply/Cancel: Buttons to save or discard changes.

3.6 System- Profile
Manage system profiles for saving and loading settings.
- Save as New Profile: Save current settings as a new profile/layout template.
- Load Profile: Load a saved profile/layout template.
- Profile List: Displays saved profiles with file saved time and profile name.

3.6.1 System- Settings-Device
Configure device-specific settings.
- Language: English.
- Device Name: CamConnect_Processor.
- Location: Default_XXXX (last four characters of MAC address).
- Max Microphone Qty.: 4 / 8 / 16 / 24.

3.6.2 System- Settings- Auto Connection
Configure automatic reconnection settings.
- Auto Connection: Enable/disable automatic reconnection for Sound Device, Camera, and Video Output after AI Box restart.
- Auto Save: Enable/disable profile auto-saving at intervals.
- Auto Run: Enable/disable AI Director to run automatically.

3.6.3 Extension Setup
Configure extension settings for Auxiliary Camera, Reference Audio Input, and Vision Zone Detection.
- Auxiliary Camera: Enable or disable the BC200 camera.
- Reference Audio Input: Configure Audio Trigger (dB) and Detective Time (s) for audio-based triggers.
- Vision Zone Detection: Not functional at the moment.

Manage web user credentials.
- User Name: Admin.
- Current Password: Enter the current password.
- New Password: Enter a new password.
- Confirm Password: Re-enter the new password.

3.6.5 System- Settings- Maintenance
Perform maintenance tasks.
- Firmware Version: Displays current version (e.g., v1.8.31).
- Auto Check: Automatically checks for new firmware.
- Firmware Update: Select and update firmware from a computer.
- Event Log: View and export log records.
- Reboot: Restart the device.
- System Factory Reset: Reset the device to factory default settings.
- Configure File: Import/Export current configuration.

3.7 About
View device information.
- Manufacturer: Lumens Digital Optics Inc.

Chapter 4 Connect to video conferencing software
This chapter guides users on connecting the AI-Box1 to video conferencing software.
4.1 Set Output Mode
Set the output mode of AI-Box1 to UVC or HDMI+UVC, then click the Video output button.
4.2 Launch Software
Launch your preferred video conferencing software (e.g., Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
4.3 Select CamConnect as Video Source
In the software's settings, select 'Lumens CamConnect Processor' as the video source name.

Chapter 5 Microphone Settings
This chapter provides guidance on microphone settings and compatibility.
Check the latest list of supported microphones on the Lumens website. Compatibility is not limited to the examples provided. Third-party microphone systems may require configuration before installing AI-Box1.
5.1 Sennheiser
When using TCC2 with CamConnect, configure channels on the Sennheiser Control Cockpit software. By default, Sennheiser divides the view into 8 equal parts, corresponding to CamConnect Azimuth Angles 1 to 8. Blocked areas in Sennheiser software can affect CamConnect's corresponding positions.

5.2 Shure
Suitable for large-area positioning when Shure Designer Automatic Coverage is On. For more accurate positioning, disable Automatic Coverage, adjust Gain value/Position manually, and reduce the beamforming angle.

Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
This chapter describes common problems and their solutions when using the AI-Box1.

Chapter 7 System Message
This chapter lists warning messages and corresponding actions.
