Performance Enhancements

During development, Alphacool focused on increasing performance by reducing thermal pad thickness to 1 mm and decreasing the nickel-plated copper block thickness from 7 mm to 5.5 mm. Water flow has been optimized to ensure all critical components, including voltage transformers and memory, receive superior cooling, leading to a significant increase in performance.

Design and Lighting

The Eisblock Aurora GPX-N features a new design that prioritizes lighting. Addressable digital RGB LEDs are embedded directly into the cooling block, illuminating the entire unit without any unlit corners. The design is more angular with beveled edges, promoting better light diffusion through water reflections and creating a unique aesthetic.

Materials and Construction

Alphacool exclusively uses copper for its water coolers, and this Eisblock features nickel-plated copper. The nickel plating has been improved for increased acid resistance, preventing flaking. Copper is chosen over aluminum due to its nearly double thermal conductivity, making it the superior material for water cooling.

Additional Design Elements

The water cooler incorporates new patented stop fittings that sit flush with the terminal surface. The Alphacool logo is illuminated in a corner on the top. Compatible graphics card types are listed on the front of the terminal, also illuminated by digital LEDs. Inlet (IN) and outlet (OUT) ports are marked by small triangles [in-out indicator], which are easily recognizable and integrate seamlessly with the cooler's design.

This model represents a complete redevelopment of previous Alphacool graphics card water coolers, incorporating extensive technical expertise without technical compromises.
