Honeywell Home DW915XX Doorbell System
This document provides instructions for installing and operating the Honeywell Home DW915XX doorbell system.
Getting Started
The package includes the following components:
- Doorbell Button (A1, A2)
- Doorbell Receiver (B1, B2)
- Wall Plugs (x2)
- Screws (x2)
- Screwdriver
- Batteries (4x C/LR14)
Tools required: Screwdriver, Drill (if needed for wall mounting).
Installation Instructions
Important Safety Note: Always ensure the main power supply is disconnected before installation. Follow transformer instructions carefully.
Wired Push Button Installation
Option 1: Replacing an existing wired push button
Follow the diagrams to disconnect the old button and connect the new Honeywell Home button. Ensure correct wiring to terminals A1, A2, B1, B2/AC1, AC2.
Wired Push Button with Batteries
Install batteries into the push button as shown in the diagram. Connect the existing wires to the appropriate terminals.
Wired Illuminated Push Button with Transformer
This setup requires a transformer (8-12V~). Ensure the main power supply (220-240V~) is disconnected before connecting the transformer and the doorbell button.
Refer to the diagrams for correct wiring of the transformer to the doorbell button terminals.
Linking Buttons and Receivers
To link a push button to a receiver:
- Press and hold the desired button on the receiver for 12 seconds.
- Press the push button. The receiver will chime to confirm the link.
Multiple buttons can be linked to a single receiver, and a single button can be linked to multiple receivers.
Optional Features and Melodies
The DW915XX system offers various features and melodies:
- Melodies: Select from a range of pre-installed melodies including 'Ding dong', 'Westminster', 'Marimba', 'Piano', 'Bell', 'Telephone', 'Soft alert', 'Glocken', 'Clock ding dong', and 'Contemporary'.
- Volume Control: Adjust the volume as needed.
- Mute Function: Temporarily silence the doorbell.
- Nightlight: Some models may include a nightlight feature.
Refer to the diagrams for specific button operations to select melodies and adjust settings.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound: Check battery installation, ensure the button is linked to the receiver, and verify volume settings.
- Intermittent Sound: Ensure there are no obstructions between the button and receiver, and check for low battery levels.
- Button Not Working: Re-link the button to the receiver. If the issue persists, the button may need replacement.
