PROAIM Universal Backseat Monitor Control System for In-Car Rigging (P-BKST-02)

Step 1: Attach Universal Headrest Mount

Attach the Universal headrest mount on the back seat of the vehicle. This involves placing the mount onto the headrest posts.

Step 2: Secure Headrest Mount with Bolt

After attaching the headrest mount, insert a bolt through the mount and into the vehicle's seat mechanism to secure it properly.

Step 3: Tighten Headrest Mount

Secure the headrest mount on the backseat using the provided Allen key to tighten the bolt. Repeat this step for the other side of the headrest.

Step 4: Insert Standoff Pins

Insert two Standoff pins into the Universal headrest mount by matching them with the threaded holes on the mount.

Step 5: Attach Round Cheese Plate

Attach the round cheese plate by aligning its threaded holes with the standoff pins. Then, insert an Allen bolt through the plate and into the standoff pins.

Step 6: Tighten Cheese Plate Bolt

Tighten the Allen bolt securing the cheese plate using the Allen key. The cheese plate is designed with multiple threads and holes for quick and easy mounting.

Step 7: Attach Houdini Speed Rail Clamp to Cheese Plate

Attach a Houdini speed rail clamp onto the round cheese plate and insert the bolt into it.

Step 8: Secure Clamp and Insert 4ft Rigging Rod

After inserting the bolt, secure the clamp properly with the Allen key. Then, insert the 4ft Rigging Rod into the clamp.

Step 9: Install 4ft Rigging Rod in Both Clamps

Insert the 4ft Rigging Rod into both Houdini speed rail clamps attached to the cheese plate. Secure each clamp by properly tightening the bolts.

Step 10: Attach Central 360° Clamp to 4ft Rod

Tighten the bolts on the clamps holding the 4ft rod. Then, attach the 360° Houdini speed rail rod clamp at the center of the 4ft length rod.

Step 11: Insert Baby Pin for Monitor Mount

Secure the central 360° clamp with the Allen Key. Then, insert the baby pin into this clamp. The baby pin will be used to mount the monitor.

Step 12: Secure Baby Pin

After inserting the baby pin, secure it properly with the help of the Allen key.

Step 13: Mount Monitor on Baby Pin

Mount the monitor onto the baby pin. Secure the monitor by tightening the knob on the monitor mount.

Step 14: Attach Second Rigging Road Clamp to Cheese Plate

Attach another rigging road clamp to the round cheese plate by aligning its threads. Secure it properly with the help of the Allen Key.

Step 15: Insert 180mm Rigging Rod

To secure this rigging road clamp, insert the 180mm rigging rod into it and secure it with the help of the Allen key.

Step 16: Attach 360° Clamp and Insert 250mm Rod

Insert a 360° Houdini Rod Clamp into the 180mm Rigging Rod. Secure this clamp properly with the Allen key, and then insert the 250mm rigging rod into it.

Step 17: Tighten 250mm Rod Clamp and Attach Third 360° Clamp

After inserting the 250mm rigging rod, tighten its clamp with the help of the Allen Key. Then, insert a third 360° Houdini rod clamp onto the 250mm rod.

Step 18: Attach Black Anodized Speed Rail

Insert the 3ft black anodized speed rail into the last 360° Houdini Rod Clamp. Secure it properly with the help of the Allen key.

Step 19: Final Secured Speed Rail

The black anodized speed rail (3ft length) with the 360° Houdini rod clamp is now properly secured.

NOTE: To achieve a setup with multiple monitors as shown in some diagrams, you may need two additional 360° Houdini rod clamps, which can be purchased separately from the PROAIM website.

System Overview and Notes

The PROAIM Universal Backseat Monitor Control System is entirely modular and adjustable. You can set your control device, monitor, LCD, wheels, and joysticks behind the front seat in any desired position to focus on your creative cinematic shots.

The system is now fully assembled and ready for use.
