Mounting and Dismounting the Lens

Remove the rear lens cap. Align the lens mounting mark 11 with the mounting mark on the camera and insert the lens. Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.

To remove the lens, rotate the lens counter-clockwise while pressing the lens release button on the camera.

Important: Turn off the camera power before mounting or dismounting the lens. Refer to your camera's owner's manual for detailed instructions.

Focus Switching Mode

Select the desired focus mode on the camera. For manual focusing, rotate the focus ring 6 to achieve the desired focus. Refer to your camera's owner's manual for details.

Note: In AF mode, automatic focusing may be difficult depending on the subject.

Connector Port (Fig. 1)

Connect the connector port 10 to a computer using a TAMRON connection cable (sold separately) and use the dedicated application "TAMRON Lens Utility™" to customize the focus ring and update firmware.

For more information, refer to the online help for "TAMRON Lens Utility™" at: https://www.tamron.jp/en/support/lensutility/help/

Zooming (Fig. 1)

Rotate the zooming ring 7 to adjust the focal length (zooming position) to the desired setting.

Lens Hood (Fig. 1, 2, 3)

The lens hood can reduce scattered light that may affect the image.

Using the Lens Hood (Fig. 2)

Align the hood mounting compatibility mark 2 with the hood release mark 5 on the lens. Rotate the hood 1 in the direction of the arrow until the hood lock mark 3 aligns with the hood release mark 5.

Securing the Lens Hood (Fig. 3)

Attach the hood 1 in reverse and rotate until it locks into place.

Note: If the hood is not attached correctly, the periphery of the captured image may be darkened.
