Environmental Responsibility and Self-Cleaning Technology
? Environment Protection: Eureka Forbes is committed to environmental protection. We urge customers to recycle packaging materials or take them to a recycling facility. Your product is designed for longevity, but when upgrading or replacing, please dispose of it responsibly at an e-waste disposal center. Eureka Forbes can guide you on this process, helping to make the world a cleaner place.
⚙️ Self-clean: To maintain optimal efficacy, water treatment plants require periodic cleaning. Aquaguard Select water treatment systems feature an automatic back-flushing arrangement that cleans the unit automatically, allowing you more time for other activities.
Pre-Installation Checklist
- Choose an easily accessible location for servicing, away from direct sunlight and rain. The site should minimize potential damage from leaks.
- Ensure a stable power supply with 100-240V/50-60Hz output.
- A drain facility must be available for the automatic backflush process.
- Verify that all items, including accessories and media, are present before installation.
- Installation must be performed exclusively by a Eureka Forbes representative or authorized agent.
Installation Procedure
- Position the FRP vessel in a safe, spacious location suitable for servicing.
- Attach the bottom strainer to the UPVC pipe using glue.
- Insert the pipe with the bottom strainer into the FRP vessel. Trim excess pipe so its height, plus the bottom strainer, matches the vessel's top height when placed inside. Refer to Figure 1 for guidance.
- Fill the vessel with media according to the "Order of media filling" table.
- Fit the top strainer onto the multiport valve.
- Attach the 2.5-inch O-ring.
- Connect the multiport valve, with the top strainer attached, onto the UPVC pipe.
- Gently press the multiport valve down and tighten it. ⚠️ DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
- Install the Flow Sensor into the multiport valve's outlet using the 1-inch Male-Male adaptor and O-rings at both ends.
- Connect the multiport valve cable to the flow sensor.
- Connect the pipelines as illustrated in Figure 2.
- If multiple filter systems are connected in series, link the interconnect cable between the multiport valves.
- A company representative or authorized agent must program the multiport valve.
- Run water through the system and check for any leaks.
- Do not connect the output line until the flushing process is complete.
- Flush the filter system until the output water runs clear.
- Connect the output line to the storage tank.
