Safety Precautions
⚠️ WARNING: To prevent potential electrical shock, always disconnect power at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.
This lighting fixture must be properly grounded. If the installation site lacks a ground wire, cease installation immediately and consult a qualified electrician.
All wiring procedures must adhere to national and local electrical codes, including ANSI/NFPA 70. If you are uncertain about any wiring aspect, seek assistance from a qualified electrician.
Required Tools
- Ladder
- Screwdriver
- Pliers
- Wire Strippers
Preparation for Installation
Carefully unpack all components from the carton. Ensure the power is shut off at the circuit breaker and the old fixture, including its mounting bracket, is completely removed from the ceiling. Remove the cap nuts from the mounting screws. Position the new mounting plate over the junction box, allowing the mounting screws and nuts to extend from the ceiling. Adjust the mounting screws so that they protrude approximately 5-6 mm through the canopy when it is in place, ensuring a secure fit for the cap nuts. Once the ideal position is confirmed, tighten the nuts on the mounting screws. Guide the house wires through the center of the mounting plate. Secure the mounting plate to the junction box by tightening the provided screws.
Connecting the Wires
With a helper supporting the fixture's weight, connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires from the junction box:
- Fixture Black wire (or Smooth) connects to House Black wire (Live).
- Fixture White wire (or Ribbed) connects to House White wire (Neutral).
- Fixture Bare Copper wire (or Green) connects to House Ground wire (Green or Copper).
Twist the ends of each wire pair together and secure with a wire connector. Ensure all twists are in the same direction. Wrap the fixture's ground wire around the grounding screw and tighten. If no ground wire is present from the junction box, contact a qualified electrician.

Finishing the Installation
Lift the canopy to the mounting plate, aligning the mounting screws with the openings in the canopy. Secure the canopy in place using the cap nuts. Adjust the angle of the lamp arms so they are evenly distributed. Slide the shade between the socket and the shade bracket and secure it with the provided screws. Install light bulbs (not included) according to the fixture's specifications. Do not exceed the recommended wattage. Your installation is now complete. Turn on the power and test the fixture.
