- Clean the iron body and soleplate (11) with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then wipe dry.
Water Selection
- Use tap water to fill the water tank (10).
- The Anti-calc function softens water, but using water cleaned by domestic filters is recommended.
- If tap water is hard, mix with distilled water 1:1. For very hard water, use 1:2 or only distilled water.
Filling the Water Tank
ATTENTION! Ensure the iron is switched off and unplugged before filling.
- Set the temperature control knob (12) to "MIN" and the continuous steam supply knob (3) to the " " position (steam supply off).
- Open the water inlet lid (2).
- Pour water into the tank using the measuring cup (14) and close the lid (2).
Notes:
- Do not fill water above the "MAX" mark.
- If refilling is needed during ironing, switch off the iron and unplug it.
Ironing Temperature
Before first use, test the heated iron on a cloth scrap to ensure the soleplate (11) and water tank (10) are clean.
- Check the garment label for recommended ironing temperature.
- If the label has the symbol " ", do not iron the item.
- If no label is present but fabric type is known, refer to the table below.
Designation | Fabric Type (Temperature) |
---|---|
do not iron | |
• | Synthetics, nylon, acrylic, polyester (low temperature) |
•• | Silk/wool (medium temperature) |
••• | Cotton (high temperature) |
MAX | Linen (high temperature) |
This table is for smooth materials only. For crimped or raised fabrics, use a lower temperature. Sort items by ironing temperature: synthetics, then wool, then cotton.
The soleplate heats faster than it cools. Start with synthetics, then increase temperature for silk/wool, and finally cotton/linen. For mixed fabrics, use the lowest temperature setting. If fabric structure is unknown, test on an inconspicuous area, starting with the lowest temperature and gradually increasing.
Velvet and fabrics prone to shining should be ironed inside out.
Dry Ironing
- Place the iron on its base (9) on a flat, steady surface.
- Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
- Set the steam supply knob (3) to the " " position (steam supply off).
- Set the desired ironing temperature (12) to •, ••, •••, or MAX, according to fabric type. The indicator (7) will light up.
- When the soleplate (11) reaches the set temperature, the indicator (7) will go out, and ironing can begin.
- After use, set the temperature control knob (12) to "MIN".
- Disconnect the power plug and wait for the soleplate (11) to cool completely.
- Note: A foreign smell may appear on first use; this is normal.
Steam Ironing
The iron has an anti-drip valve. Steam ironing is possible only when the temperature control knob (12) is set to steam mode ••• or MAX.
- Place the iron on its base (9).
- Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
- Ensure the water tank (10) has enough water.
- Set the required ironing temperature (12) to ••• or MAX. The indicator (7) will light up.
- When the soleplate (11) reaches temperature, indicator (7) turns off, and ironing can begin.
- Set steam intensity using the continuous steam supply knob (3). Steam is released only when the iron is horizontal. To stop steam, place the iron vertically or set knob (3) to " " (steam supply off).
- After ironing, set temperature knob (12) to "MIN" and steam knob (3) to " " (steam supply off).
- Disconnect the power plug and wait for the soleplate (11) to cool completely.
ATTENTION! If steam is not supplied, check temperature knob (12), steam knob (3), and water level in tank (10).
Water Spray
- Ensure the water tank (10) has enough water.
- Press the water spray button (4) to dampen fabrics.
Burst of Steam
Useful for ironing folds, only in high-temperature mode (••• or MAX). Pressing the burst of steam button (5) releases steam intensively.
Note: To prevent water leakage, press button (5) at 4-5 second intervals.
Vertical Steaming
For vertical steaming of fabrics or interior objects, use high-temperature mode (••• or MAX).
Hold the iron vertically 5-20 cm from the item and press the burst of steam button (5) at 4-5 second intervals for intensive steam release.
ATTENTION! Do not let the soleplate (11) touch the fabric to avoid melting. Do not steam clothes on a person; use a hanger or rack.
After finishing, switch off the iron (set knob (12) to MIN), unplug it, let it cool completely, open the water inlet lid (2), turn the iron over, and drain remaining water.
Automatic Switch Off
The iron has 2 automatic switch-off modes:
- If the iron is horizontal and stationary for 30 seconds, the heating element switches off (indicator (7) flashes).
- If the iron is vertical on its base (9) and stationary for 8 minutes, the heating element switches off (indicator (7) flashes).
To resume ironing, move the iron from horizontal to vertical or vice versa, wait for the soleplate (11) to heat up, and continue.
