Installation

Mounting the Doorbell

1. Remove the mounting screw from the bottom of the doorbell using the screwdriver.
2. Separate the doorbell from the mounting bracket.
3. Attach the bracket to the wall using the supplied screws.
4. Replace the doorbell back onto the bracket and secure it with the previously removed mounting screw.

Note: Depending on the type of wall, you may need to use the included wall anchors. Consult a qualified trade professional if unsure about hardware suitability.

Connect to SmarterHome™ App

Install App

Download the "Kogan SmarterHome" app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

To Register

1. If you already have a SmarterHome account, select 'Log In'. To register a new account, select 'Sign Up'.
2. The system will automatically recognise your country. If needed, manually select your country from the drop-down box. Enter your email address and tap 'Get Verification Code' to continue.
3. A 6-digit code will be sent to the submitted email address. Enter this code before the one-minute timer expires.
4. Continue to the next page and complete your SmarterHome profile.

Set Device in Pairing Mode

When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (indicator is rapidly flashing BLUE). If not, manually set the device in pairing mode by pressing and holding the reset button for 5 seconds until the indicator is rapidly flashing BLUE.

Add Device Through Network

1. Once registered, tap "Add Device" on the app's home page, or the "+" icon in the upper right corner, to add a new device.
2. Select the product type from the list: Home Security > Door Bells.
3. Enter your Wi-Fi details. Ensure your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.

Notes:

• The device and app must use the same Wi-Fi network.
• The device is only compatible with 2.4GHz networks.
• Steps 3 and 4 may be in opposite order depending on the product.

Pairing Process

1. Ensure the device is in pairing mode (indicator rapidly flashing BLUE), and tap "Next".
2. The device will begin pairing and connecting to the app. Keep your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device close until connection is complete.
3. After successful addition, you can rename the device and assign it to a location. It will then be listed on the app's home page. Tap the listing to enter its control page.

Note: Once connected, use the "+" icon or the 'Scene' tab to group SmarterHome™ products and automate functions.

Google Home Control

Note: A Google Home account is required prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.

Adding "SmarterHome" to the Google Home App

1. From the Google Home app home page, select the "+" icon (top left) to access the 'Add and manage' page.
2. Select 'Set up device', then choose the ‘Works with Google' option.
3. Select the search bar and type 'Smarter Home' to find the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.
4. Sign into your SmarterHome™ account using your registered email or mobile number.
5. Select "Kogan SmarterHome™" from the app options.
6. Tap 'Authorise' to grant Google permission to access your SmarterHome™ app and devices.
7. Once connected, compatible devices linked to your SmarterHome™ account will be displayed. You can assign them to rooms and set up routines. Tap a device to view its commands.

Note: Google Home can only control the base/core functions of compatible SmarterHome™ devices. For full smart functionality, use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

Amazon Alexa Control

Note: An Alexa account is required prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.

Adding "SmarterHome" to the Alexa App

1. From the Alexa app home page, select the [menu icon] icon (bottom-right) and choose "Skills & Games" from the sidebar.
2. Select the search bar and type 'Smarter Home' to find the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill.
3. Tap 'Enable to Use' to add the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill to Alexa.
4. Sign into your SmarterHome™ account using your registered email or mobile number.
5. Select "Kogan SmarterHome™" from the app options.
6. Tap 'Authorise' to grant Alexa permission to access your SmarterHome™ app and devices.
7. Once connected, your devices linked to your SmarterHome™ account will be displayed. You can now control your Kogan SmarterHome™ devices via Alexa's voice commands.

Note: Alexa can only control the base/core functions of compatible SmarterHome™ devices. For full smart functionality, use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

Pairing Chime with Doorbell

Note: The Doorbell and Chime are typically paired from the factory. If they are not paired, follow these steps.

1. Attach the Chime to the power adapter.
2. Press the Reset button on the Chime. The indicator will begin flashing BLUE, indicating pairing mode (searching for connection).
3. In the SmarterHome app, open the doorbell settings by tapping the [three-dots icon] button in the upper right corner.
4. Tap "Bell Settings".
5. Tap the "Bind" button. The chime will connect to the doorbell. The indicator light on the chime will turn solid BLUE if successfully paired.
6. Select the ringtone and volume settings. Exit back to the Preview screen to complete the process.

Notes: If configuration fails, press the "RESET" button for 5 seconds to reset your chime, then click "RESET" again and add it.

Operation

Two-way Audio

When a visitor presses the doorbell button, you will receive a call. You can see and hear the visitor in your App from the doorbell if you answer.

Motion Detection

Motion sensors will notify you when movement is detected.

Shared Device

The doorbell can be shared with friends, allowing them to access the camera's feed. While there is no limit to the number of sharing devices, only 6 accounts support online preview simultaneously.

Record

Record every moment using high-capacity SD card storage.

Day & Night

Powerful night vision provides uninterrupted viewing, even in complete darkness.
