Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare End Panels
Insert 4 dowels (101351) into the pre-drilled holes on the top edges of the two end panels.
Diagram Description: Two vertical end panels are shown. Dowels are being inserted into the top two holes on each panel.
Step 2: Attach First Side Rail
Connect the first side rail to the end panels. Insert 4 screws (105907) through the holes on the side rail into the corresponding holes on the end panels. Secure these screws by inserting 4 cam locks (100514) into the larger holes on the end panels and turning them with the Allen key (100092) to lock the screws.
Diagram Description: A side rail is positioned between the two end panels. Screws are shown being inserted from the outside of the side rail into the end panels. Cam locks are shown being inserted into the end panels and turned.
Step 3: Prepare Second Side Rail
Insert 4 dowels (101351) into the pre-drilled holes on the top edges of the second side rail.
Diagram Description: The second side rail is shown, with dowels being inserted into its top holes.
Step 4: Attach Second Side Rail
Connect the second side rail to the end panels using the same method as Step 2. Insert 4 screws (105907) through the side rail into the end panels and secure them with 4 cam locks (100514) using the Allen key (100092).
Diagram Description: The second side rail is attached to the end panels, mirroring the first side rail's connection.
Step 5: Attach Base Supports
Insert 4 base supports (128546) into the designated holes on the bottom of the end panels. A gentle tap with a hammer may be needed for a snug fit.
Diagram Description: The four base supports are shown being inserted into the bottom corners of the assembled crib frame.
Step 6: Secure Cot Base Support
Attach the central cot base support using 4 screws (10050797).
Diagram Description: A long piece, likely a central support for the cot base, is shown being attached to the main frame.
Step 7: Insert and Secure Cot Base
Place the slatted cot base into the crib frame. Secure the base by inserting 4 screws (100092) through the base into the frame and locking them with 4 cam locks (148624).
Diagram Description: The slatted cot base is lowered into the crib. Screws and cam locks are shown being used to fix it in place.
Step 8: Attach Brackets
Attach 4 brackets/hooks (119245) to the inside of the side rails using 4 screws (147168).
Diagram Description: Small brackets are shown being screwed onto the inner surfaces of the side rails.
Step 9: Mattress Information and Safety
Mattress Requirements: Use a mattress measuring 60 x 120 cm (47 1/4" x 23 5/8"). The mattress thickness must not exceed 12 cm (4 3/4").
Safety Warning: Ensure the cot base is correctly installed and securely fastened before placing a child in the crib. Never leave a child unattended. Do not remove side rails unless the crib is being converted and appropriate safety measures are taken.
Diagram Description: An information icon (ⓘ) is shown next to the mattress dimensions. Another icon (ⓘ) is shown next to a diagram of the crib with a mattress. One detail shows a hand pushing the mattress down, and another shows a hand pushing a side rail down with a cross (❌) indicating this action is prohibited.
Step 10: Crib Conversion
The SUNDVIK crib is designed to be convertible. Some diagrams illustrate the removal of a side rail to convert the crib into a toddler bed.
Diagram Description: A crib is shown with one side panel removed, indicating its conversion capability.
Step 11: Final Assembly Check
Ensure all screws and fittings are tightened securely. The crib should be stable and free from wobbling.
Diagram Description: A complete crib is shown, implying the final assembled state.
Step 12: Additional Assembly Details
Further steps and diagrams show the attachment of various components, reinforcing previous assembly actions or detailing specific connection points using screws (e.g., 105907, 100092, 100514, 147168) and cam locks (e.g., 148624).
