1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the ThermoPro Digital Food Thermometer. This manual provides instructions for optimal product performance. Please read it thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
2. Features
- Programmable alert with preset temperatures recommended by USDA for specific foods.
- Food-grade stainless steel probes with steel mesh cable to measure and monitor temperatures of two pieces of meat or two sections of the same large piece of meat simultaneously.
- Temperature Range: 14°F to 572°F (-10°C to 300°C).
- Temperature Tolerance: ±1.8°F (±1.0°C).
- Temperature Readings in °F or °C.
- Flip-out Counter Top Stand for easy viewing.
- Magnet for attaching the device to metal surfaces like refrigerators or ovens.
- Battery Compartment: Holds 1 x AAA battery.
Note: If the probe is not inserted into food and put directly inside the oven, temperatures above 200°F (93°C) will be accurate within 2°F to 5°F (1.1°C to 2.7°C).

4. Product Images
The device features a LCD Screen, a Touchable Backlight Button, and displays temperature readings for Probe 1 and Probe 2.
5. Keys Definition
- Probe Socket: Insert probes to measure temperatures.
- LCD Screen: Displays temperatures and selected meat types.
- / Button: Press to turn ON/OFF. Press and hold for 2 seconds to select °F or °C.
- PROBE Button: Select Probe 1 or Probe 2 setting mode.
- / Button: Increase desired cooking temperature or select food type.
- HI/LO/ Button: Decrease desired cooking temperature or switch between HI/LO settings in BBQ mode.
- MEAT Button: Activate meat type selection (Poultry, Ham, Beef Rare/Fish, Beef Medium, Pork/Veal, Beef Well Done, User-Defined, BBQ). Press or to choose, press MEAT again to save. Press and hold for 2 seconds to enter BBQ target temperature setting.
- Backlight Button: Touch the "ThermoPro" logo to turn the backlight ON/OFF. The backlight turns on and flashes during an alarm.
Note: This unit is for remote monitoring. Do not remove probes during cooking.
6. Battery Installation/Set Up
- Slide open the battery compartment door on the back.
- Insert 1 x AAA battery with correct polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment door.
- Remove the protective vinyl label from the LCD screen.
- The thermometer is ready for use.
7. Important Notes/Warning
- Not for use in microwave ovens.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not touch hot probes or wires with bare hands. Use heat-resistant gloves.
- Do not expose probes directly to flame, as this will damage the wire.
- Press the button to power off the device when not in use to conserve battery.
- Use good quality batteries and replace them often for accuracy.
- Dispose of exhausted batteries safely.
- This thermometer assists in proper food preparation but does not guard against unsafe food handling practices. Always follow safe food preparation techniques.
- The stainless-steel wire probe should not be exposed to oven temperatures exceeding 716°F (380°C).
- Do not let the probe or cable contact oven elements directly, as this can cause faulty readings or damage.
- If the temperature exceeds or falls below the measurable range, the LCD screen will display "HHH" (above range) or "LLL" (below range).
8. Operating Instructions
Using the Cooking Thermometer
- Clean the stainless steel temperature probe with hot water and soap; rinse clean. Do not submerge the probe and cable in water.
- Plug probe 1 and/or 2 into the corresponding sockets on the device. Ensure the probe cable is free of knots and the sensor plug is fully inserted. (Display shows LLL if not plugged in properly or crimped).
- The screen displays actual temperatures (right) and set temperatures (left) for Probe 1 (top row) and Probe 2 (second row).
- Set desired cooking temperatures using Quick Temperature Setting or User-defined Temperature Setting (see sections below).
- Insert the probe tip into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bone or gristle. Use two probes for multiple items or sections.
- Place food in the oven. Ensure sufficient slack in the cable to prevent it from being pulled out when the oven door closes. Position the device outside the oven on a stable surface and ensure it is firmly connected to the probes. Avoid placing the device on hot surfaces.
- An audible alert will sound when the food reaches the set temperature. Press any button to stop the alert.
- Disconnect the steel mesh cables from the device before removing food from the oven. Use heat-resistant gloves when handling hot probes or wires.
9. Quick Temperature Setting
- The thermometer is pre-programmed with USDA recommended temperatures: Poultry (165°F), Beef Well (170°F), Veal/Pork (170°F), Beef Medium (160°F), Ham (160°F), Beef Rare/Fish (145°F).
- Press the PROBE button to select Probe 1 or 2. The display will flash.
- Press the MEAT button to adjust settings.
- Press the or button to select your food type.
- Press the MEAT button again to confirm. The setting locks in if no button is pressed for 4 seconds.
- Repeat for the other probe.
- Press and hold the MEAT button for 2 seconds to enter BBQ target temperature setting.
- While HI BBQ temperature flashes, use or to set the desired temperature (hold for fast setting).
- Press MEAT to confirm HI BBQ setting. Then set LO BBQ temperature using or (LO BBQ must be lower than HI BBQ by at least 2°F).
- Press MEAT to confirm LO BBQ setting.
- Press the / button to turn the alarm function ON/OFF.
- Press the HI/LO/ button to change HI or LO temperature setting.
Notes:
- A user-defined setting is indicated by a icon in the lower right corner.
- Press and hold the or for fast temperature setting.
10. User-BBQ Temperature Setting
- Press PROBE to select Probe 1 or 2.
- Press MEAT to enable settings adjustment.
- Press or to choose BBQ, then press MEAT to confirm.
- HI BBQ default is 250°F (range 140°F-572°F). LO BBQ default is 225°F (range 32°F-570°F).
- Set HI BBQ temperature using or .
- Press MEAT to confirm HI BBQ, then set LO BBQ temperature.
- Press MEAT to confirm LO BBQ.
- Use / to turn alarm ON/OFF.
- Use HI/LO/ to change HI or LO setting.
11. User-Defined Temperature Setting
To set custom temperatures, use the or buttons. Alternatively, press the MEAT button to enter User-defined mode, then use or to set the desired temperature.

13. Cleaning & Care
- The device is not waterproof. Avoid exposing the probe plug or socket to liquids.
- The probe and cable are not dishwasher safe. Hand wash with hot water and soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly before storing.
- Do not submerge the device in water or use corrosive cleaning materials. Wipe with a damp cloth.

15. Disposal
Meaning of the "Dustbin" Symbol:
- Protect the environment: Do not dispose of electrical equipment in domestic waste. Return unused electrical equipment to designated collection points to prevent potential harm to the environment and human health. This supports recycling and reuse. Contact your local authority for disposal information.
- CAUTION: Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Remove batteries from the appliance and take spent batteries to appropriate collection points or dealers. Local authorities can provide information on public collection points.
- Symbols on batteries indicate hazardous content: Pb = lead, Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Li = lithium.
16. Limited One-Year Warranty
ThermoPro warrants this product against defects in parts, materials, and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. For warranty service, contact Customer Service for packing and shipping instructions.
