1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the TempSpike XR Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer. To ensure optimal product performance, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
2. Components

Visual Description of Components:
The TempSpike XR system includes a central Base Station (Receiver) which features an LCD screen displaying temperatures, meat types, and status icons. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, a USB-C port for charging, a tabletop stand, and a magnetic back. Two stainless steel probes, each with a heat-resistant cable, are used to measure internal meat temperatures. An optional Signal Booster is also provided to extend wireless range.
3. Base Station (Receiver)
3.1 Features
- LCD Screen: Displays all icons and temperatures.
- Backlight: Enhances visibility.
- Dual Probes: Monitors internal temperature of two meats and ambient temperature simultaneously.
- Alarms: Internal and ambient temperature alarms can be set.
- Temperature Range: Internal: 14°F to 212°F (-10°C to 100°C); Ambient: 14°F to 572°F (-10°C to 300°C).
- Battery Level Indicator: Shows remaining battery power.
- Design: Tabletop stand and magnetic back for versatile placement.
- Power: Built-in rechargeable lithium battery, charged via enclosed USB-C cable.
3.2 Buttons
- RESYNC Button: Press once to turn the device on/off. Press and hold to resync a new probe.
- ▲ Button: In PROG Mode or Ambient Temperature Setting Mode, press to increase the target temperature value. Press and hold for 2 seconds for faster increase.
- MEAT Button: Selects meat type: BEEF, VEAL, CHICKEN, PORK, POULT (Poultry), LAMB, FISH, HAM, GBEEF (Ground Beef), GPOUL (Ground Poultry), and PROG (Program - User Defined Temperature).
- PROBE ALARM Button: Cycles between PROBE BLACK and PROBE WHITE. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the internal temperature alarm on/off (indicated by an icon).
- AMBIENT ALARM Button: Press to set HIGH ambient temperature; use ▲/▼ to adjust the value when the HIGH icon digit blinks. Press again to set LOW ambient temperature; adjust value when the LOW icon digit blinks. Press again to exit. Settings confirm automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the ambient temperature alarm on/off (indicated by an icon).
- TASTE Button: Selects meat doneness level: RARE, MED RARE, MEDIUM, MEDIUM WELL, WELL DONE.
- ▼ Button: In PROG Mode or Ambient Temperature Setting Mode, press to decrease the target temperature value. Press and hold for 2 seconds for faster decrease.
- °F/°C Button: Press to turn the backlight on/off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to switch between °F or °C temperature units. Backlight turns off automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity.
- RESET Button: Located on the back. Press and hold for over 3 seconds to restart the device if any malfunction occurs.
3.3 How to Charge the Base Station and Probes
1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to any USB charger to charge the base station. The battery level indicator will scroll during charging and stop when fully charged.
2. The base station also charges the probes. Place the probes into the probe storage holes on the base station. A "BI" sound will confirm charging initiation. The probe battery level indicator will scroll during charging and stop when full. All data will be cleared when probes are placed in storage holes.
3. The base station automatically turns off five minutes after both probes are placed in the storage holes.
3.4 How to Pair the Probe with the Base Station
The base station and probes are pre-paired. If re-pairing is necessary, follow these steps: 1. Press the RESYNC button to turn on the base station. 2. Remove the probe from the base station. 3. Press and hold the RESYNC button for 3 seconds. The temperature measured by the probe will appear on the display, indicating successful pairing. Note: One receiver can only pair with one black probe and one white probe.
3.5 How to Turn on/off the Sound of Button
Button sound is off by default. Press and hold the ▲ and ▼ buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to turn button sound on or off.
4. Signal Booster (Optional)
4.1 Features
- Extended Range: Increases remote range between receiver and probe from 1,000ft (300M) to 2,000ft (610M) maximumly without obstructions.
- Auto-Sync: Synced with receiver and probe automatically upon power-on; no registration needed.
- Power Button: Press to turn on; press and hold for three seconds to turn off. It turns off automatically in 40 minutes if both probes are in the transmitter and the transmitter is turned off.
- Signal Indicator: Flashes green every four seconds if the signal from the probe is received; flashes red every four seconds if no signal is received.
- Power Indicator: Flashes red for low battery; solid red while charging; solid green when fully charged.
- RESET Button: Press to restart the device if any malfunction.
- Design: Hanging hole and magnetic back.
- Waterproof: IPX6 rated.
5. Purchasing Additional Signal Booster
The model number for the signal booster is TP860B/C. It can be ordered directly from Amazon or ThermoPro customer service. It is not recommended to sync more than one booster to a single receiver as it may affect connection. However, one signal booster can extend the range for multiple receivers.
6. Caution
- Probe Handling: Insert probes deeply into meat, ensuring only the handle is visible, to protect internal electronics from extreme heat.
- Microwave Use: Do NOT use probes in a microwave.
- Removal: Always wear gloves to remove hot probes from meat after cooking.
- Cleaning: Wipe probes with a kitchen towel or rag after each use. Probes can also be rinsed and washed in a dishwasher.
- Storage: After cleaning, place probes in the booster for charging and storage.
- Transmitter Care: Do not immerse the transmitter in water; wipe it with a damp cloth.
- Age Restriction: Not intended for use by persons aged 12 and under.
- Pacemaker Warning: The device contains a magnet that may affect artificial cardiac pacemakers. Users with pacemakers should maintain a distance of at least 1 foot (0.3 meter) from the device.

9. Disposal of the Electronic Appliance
This electronic appliance should not be disposed of with normal household waste. Dispose of the unit at an approved facility or at your local recycling center. Please observe the current rules and regulations when disposing of the appliance. Contact your local council if in doubt.
10. Limited One-Year Warranty
ThermoPro warrants this product to be free of defects in parts, materials, and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Should any repairs or servicing under this warranty be required, contact Customer Service by phone or email for instructions on how to pack and ship the product to ThermoPro.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
