Basic Functions
Power ON/OFF: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off.
Mode Selection: Press the [MODE] button repeatedly to cycle through available operation modes: RADIO, DISC, USB, SD, AUX, and BLUETOOTH (BT).
Bluetooth Mode: In Bluetooth mode, the [MODE] button can also be used to end an incoming call.
Radio Mode
- Seek Stations: Press and hold the [BND] button (or equivalent seek button) to search for stations in descending order. Press once to automatically surf stations in descending order.
- Ascending Stations: Press and hold the [BND] button (or equivalent seek button) to search for stations in ascending order. Press once to automatically surf stations in ascending order.
- Band Selection: Press the [BAND] button to cycle through FM bands (FM1, FM2, FM3).
- Answering Calls: In Bluetooth mode, press the [BAND] button to answer incoming calls.
- Preset Memory Stations (1-6): Briefly press preset buttons 1 through 6 to cycle through each programmed station for 5 seconds. To automatically seek and memorize stations, press and hold the [APS] button for 2 seconds. The unit will then assign discovered stations to keys M1-M6.
CD/USB/SD Mode
- Previous Track / Rewind: Press the [TRACK] button (or equivalent previous button) to go back to the last track. Press and hold to rewind the current track.
- Next Track / Fast-Forward: Press the [TRACK] button (or equivalent next button) to skip to the next track. Press and hold to fast-forward the current track.
- Pause/Play: Press the [PAUSE/PLAY] button to pause, play, or resume audio playback. Turning the volume knob will also resume playback.
- Browse/Key Number 2: Press the browse button to play 10-second clips of each song. In Radio Mode, press to select the preset station assigned to key number 2.
- Repeat/Key Number 3: Press the repeat button to repeat a single song. Press repeatedly to toggle through repeat options. In Radio Mode, press to select the preset station assigned to key number 3.
- Random Play/Key Number 4: Press the random play button to shuffle through tracks. In Radio Mode, press to select the preset station assigned to key number 4.
- D-/Key Number 5: In CD/USB/SD Mode, press the [D-] button to display the previous folder (if available). In Radio Mode, press to select the preset station assigned to key number 5.
- D+/Key Number 6: In CD/USB/SD Mode, press the [D+] button to display the previous folder (if available). In Radio Mode, press to select the preset station assigned to key number 6.
USB/SD Card Playback
Insert a USB or SD card into its respective port. Media will automatically begin to play. If Auto Play does not start, press the [MODE] button to select the USB/SD Card Playback Mode. Supports max USB/SD cards up to 16 GB.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Enable Bluetooth on your device.
- Scan for available devices.
- Select "IRVINE 140" or a similar name when it appears on your device.
- Enter the code "0000" when prompted.
Other Functions
- SEL (Tone Adjustment)/Volume Control: Increase volume by turning the volume knob to the right. Press [SEL] repeatedly to access settings for Bass (BAS), Treble (TRE), Balance (BAL), Fader (FAD), Loudness (LOUD ON/OFF), Preset EQ (POP, ROCK, CLASSIC, EQ OFF), Local & Distant (LOCAL/DX), and Stereo & Mono (STEREO/MONO). Audio settings can also be adjusted using the volume knob.
- LCD Display: Shows the status of the current operation.
- Muting Control: Press the [MUTE] button (represented by a speaker icon with a line through it) to turn sound muting on or off.
- EQ (Equalization): Press the [EQ] button repeatedly to select the desired preset equalization mode.
- Clock Display & Adjustment: Press [DISP] to recall the time display. To set the clock, press and hold [DISP] until the hour digits blink. Use the volume knob ([VOL+/-]) to adjust the hour, then press [SEL/MENU] to confirm. The minute digits will then blink; use the volume knob to adjust the minute, and press [DISP] again to resume normal time display.
Remote Control Key Guide
The remote control provides access to most of the unit's functions.
Battery Replacement: Refer to the back of the remote handset for battery replacement instructions. Use only the same or equivalent type of battery.
Battery Disposal: Dispose of batteries responsibly, following environmental guidelines. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat or fire, as this may cause an explosion.
Remote Handset - General Operation
- Power: Press to turn the unit on or off.
- Mode Selection: Press repeatedly to select the desired mode.
- Volume Control: Press [VOL+] / [VOL-] to adjust the volume level.
- Mute Control: Press to turn sound mute on or off.
- Audio Control & Function Selector: Press [SEL/MENU] repeatedly to cycle through audio and function control modes (Volume, Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Loudness, Preset EQ, Local/Distant, Stereo/Mono). Use [VOL+/-] to adjust settings. (Local/Distant and Stereo/Mono are available in FM radio mode).
- Preset Equalization Control: Press [EQ] repeatedly to select the desired preset equalization mode.
- Loudness Control: Press and hold [LOUD] to turn loudness control on or off.
- Clock Display & Adjustment: Press [DISP] to view the time. Press and hold [DISP] to enter clock setting mode. Adjust hours and minutes using [VOL+/-] and confirm with [SEL/MENU]. Press [DISP] again to exit setting mode.
The remote handset features a numeric keypad (0-9), function buttons like MODE, CLR, APS, VOL+/-, SEL, MENU, EQ, DISP, LOUD, BAND, SRC, TRACK, and directional buttons.

After installation, open the "EwayLink" application. Ensure Bluetooth is connected to the car unit.
