Recharging the Power Station
AC Recharging
The power station supports Fast Recharge mode and Standard Recharge mode for AC recharging.
- Fast Recharge Mode: Higher recharge power, approximately 50 minutes to 80%, 70 minutes to 100%.
- Standard Recharge Mode: Lower recharge power and noise, suitable for night charging, extends battery life. Takes approximately two hours to reach 100%.
Steps for AC Recharging (DJI Power 1000 example):
- Open the port cover and connect the power station to an AC power outlet using the provided cable.
- Toggle the recharge mode switch: 1200W Fast Recharge or 600W Standard Recharge for DJI Power 1000. For DJI Power 500: 540W Fast Recharge or 270W Standard Recharge.
Diagram Description: Shows connecting the AC power cable to the AC input port and the power station, and the location of the recharge mode switch.
Notes:
- Disconnect from the AC outlet when charging is complete.
- Standard Recharge mode is recommended for extended battery life.
- The power station has a battery cell life protection strategy: after five consecutive Fast Recharge cycles, it automatically switches to Standard Recharge mode for the sixth recharge. This maintenance process lasts about 20 minutes.
- Temperature errors in Fast Recharge mode may lower recharge power for safety.
Solar Recharging
Connect to solar panels using the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) or DJI Power Car Power Outlet to SDC Power Cable (accessories sold separately).
Steps for Solar Recharging (DJI Power 1000 example):
- Unfold the solar panel, support it with the prop, and align it towards the sunlight. Ensure the panel surface is perpendicular to the sunlight and not obstructed.
- Connect the solar panel using an XT60 cable to the solar panel adapter module to begin recharging.
Diagram Description: Shows unfolding a solar panel and connecting it via an XT60 cable to the solar panel adapter module, which is then connected to the power station's SDC port. Also shows a ZIGNES solar panel.
Important Notes:
- Follow solar panel instructions; do not mix panel types.
- DJI Power 1000 supports up to three panels per adapter module (parallel connection only), and up to two adapter modules (six panels total). DJI Power 500 supports up to three panels via one adapter module.
- The DJI Power Car Power Outlet to SDC Power Cable supports one solar panel with max current < 10 A and power output < 100 W.
- Use DJI authorized Zignes solar panels. If using non-recommended panels, ensure they meet requirements: open circuit voltage < 30 V, max current per panel < 10 A, total power < 400 W (for Power 1000). For Power 500, max input power via SDC Lite is 300 W.
- Keep the power station away from direct sunlight during recharging to prevent overheating.
- Avoid obstructing the solar panel surface; partial shade reduces efficiency and can cause overcurrent.
- Clean the solar panel surface with a soft cloth and clean water.
Car Recharging
Use the DJI Power Car Power Outlet to SDC Power Adapter to connect a car power port to the power station's SDC or SDC Lite port.
Diagram Description: Shows the car power adapter connecting a car's power port to the power station's SDC/SDC Lite port.
Notes:
- Ensure car power port voltage is 12-30 V and max current is < 8 A.
- Securely connect the adapter and start the car engine before recharging.
USB-C Recharging
DJI Power 500 can be recharged via USB-C PD charger (max 100 W). It supports simultaneous power input via two USB-C ports (max 200 W total).
Diagram Description: Shows USB-C cables connecting to the power station's USB-C ports for recharging.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
The power station supports UPS functionality. Connect it to an AC power outlet and an external device (e.g., computer). Press the AC button; a UPS icon will appear on the display. The AC outlet powers both the station and the device. UPS is enabled by default.
In case of a power outage, the power station switches to battery power within 20 ms, ensuring continuous operation of the connected device.
Diagram Description: Shows the power station connected to an AC outlet and an external device, with the AC button pressed.
Important Notes:
- The power station supports basic UPS, not 0ms switching. Do not connect devices requiring 0ms UPS (e.g., medical equipment, data servers) as it may cause malfunction or data loss.
- This function may be unavailable in some regions; refer to local laws.
DJI Power 1000 Extensions
1/4" Thread Hole
DJI Power 1000 has two 1/4" thread holes for mounting the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT).
Mount one adapter module following Figure A, or two modules following Figure B, aligning mounting holes at the bottom of the brackets.
Users can also mount other devices with 1/4" screws.
Diagram Description: Figures A and B illustrate mounting the adapter module(s) to the power station using heat dissipation brackets and 1/4" thread holes.
Protective Storage Bag
The protective storage bag shields the DJI Power 1000 from scratches and dust, and aids portability. The front opening is for connecting external devices, and the rear stores cables and accessories.
When using the bag, unzip both sides to avoid blocking the vents and causing overheating.
Diagram Description: Shows the protective storage bag for the DJI Power 1000, highlighting the front opening and rear storage.

Maintenance
- For extended storage, discharge the power station to 60%. Storing at low power may lead to over-discharge.
- Store in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight, at temperatures between -10° to 45° C (14° to 113° F). Do not expose to water.
- Do not store the power station for extended periods after full discharge; this can cause irreparable battery damage due to over-discharge.
- Charge and discharge the power station every four months to maintain battery performance: discharge to 15%, power off for over two hours, then charge to 100% in Standard Recharge mode.
- Clean ports with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol or flammable solvents.
