IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Battery
- The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage.
- If you notice signs of insufficient power (e.g., dim display), the battery needs to be replaced at the nearest authorized CASIO service center or CASIO distributor.
Water Protection
For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited:
- Pressing buttons underwater.
- Moving the hands underwater.
- Unscrewing the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it completely. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Water Resistance Classification
Watches are classified by water resistance level (from I to V) according to their degree of protection against water. Check your watch's classification using the table below to determine its proper usage.
Category | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- Category I: Watches are not protected from water. Avoid any moisture.
Understanding Water Resistance Ratings
- II WR (Water Resistant): Indicates the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems.
- III 5 Bar (50 meters): Watches with 5 Bar water resistance can withstand the specified water pressure and can be used during showers and brief swimming.
- IV 10 Bar (100 meters): Watches with 10 Bar water resistance can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
- V 20 Bar (200 meters): Watches with 20 Bar water resistance can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Care for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
- The replacement of the gasket, which protects the watch from water and dust, should be done every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest dealer or CASIO distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although designed for active daily use, wear the watch carefully and avoid drops.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- For cleaning the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use easily volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, thinners, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the prints.
Care for Specific Materials
For Watches with Plastic Straps:
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture on a plastic strap, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may lead to discoloration of the fluorescent color. Check that the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
Condensation and Temperature Changes
Slight condensation may form on the inner side of the glass under conditions of rapid temperature changes. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.

SETTING THE DAY
- Pull the crown out to the 1st click.

- To ensure the day switches correctly at midnight, do not set the day between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
CROWN OPERATIONS
Some water-resistant models (100m and 200m) are equipped with a screw-lock crown. Before performing operations using the crown, first unscrew it to unlock by turning it towards you, then pull the crown out. Do not use excessive force when pulling the crown out. When the crown is unscrewed, the watch becomes unprotected from water penetration. After performing the necessary operations with the crown, return it to its normal position, then screw it in to lock.
Diagram shows a watch crown with an arrow indicating "Unscrew to unlock". [Screw Lock] symbol.
Using the Rotating Bezel
If your watch has a rotating bezel...
Rotate the bezel to align a mark with the minute hand. After some time, you will be able to tell how much time has passed since the mark was aligned with the minute hand.
