Important Information - Read First
Battery: The battery installed at the factory is for testing purposes and may run out during delivery and storage. If the display becomes dim, replace the battery at an authorized CASIO service center or dealer.
Water Resistance:
- Do not press buttons underwater.
- Do not set the crown underwater.
- Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly if exposed to saltwater.
- Avoid wearing watches with leather straps while swimming.
Water resistance is classified by levels (I to V) according to protection against water. Refer to the table below for correct usage.

Notes:
- Level I watches are not water-resistant. Avoid all moisture.
- II WR (Water Resistant) means the watch is water-resistant according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water is acceptable.
- III (5 Bar/50 meters) can withstand water pressure and is suitable for showering and brief swimming.
- IV (10 Bar/100 meters) is suitable for regular swimming and snorkeling.
- V (20 Bar/200 meters) is suitable for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Watch Care:
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket protecting against water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a dealer.
For watches with plastic straps: A white powdery substance may appear on the strap. This is harmless and can be wiped off. Sweat or moisture can damage plastic straps. Wipe them clean regularly.
For watches with fluorescent cases and straps: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade. Wipe off moisture immediately.
Friction on fluorescent surfaces can transfer the paint. CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not liable for any damages arising from the use of these watches.
General Description of Operating Modes
Press the 'C' button to cycle through modes in the following order:
Pressing the 'L' button in any mode illuminates the screen for three seconds.
If no button is pressed for several minutes while a digital value is flashing, the watch will automatically save the input and exit the setting mode.
If no operation is performed in the Day Counter or Phonebook modes, the watch will automatically return to the current time display.
Current Time Mode
Press 'D' to switch between 12-hour (AM/PM indicator) and 24-hour formats.
In 24-hour format, time is displayed from 0:00 to 23:59 without an indicator.
Alarm Mode
Press 'C' to switch modes.
Phonebook Mode
This mode allows you to enter 25 entries, each with a name (up to 8 characters) and phone number (up to 12 characters). Names are automatically sorted alphabetically. The last entry displayed upon exiting the mode will appear first upon re-entry.
Day Counter Mode
This mode counts the number of days until a specified target date. If the number of days is positive, the target date has not yet arrived; if negative, it has passed.
You can set 5 numbered day counters, each with an 8-character descriptive text. When the target date matches the current date, the DAYS indicator flashes in Current Time, Dual Time, and Day Counter modes.
The default date for all counters is 2001/1/1.
Sound Signal Mode
You can set 5 independent alarms. When the Daily Alarm is on, a 20-second alarm sounds at the set time. Press any button to stop. The Hourly Signal provides a short chime at the start of each hour.
Dual Time Mode
This mode allows you to display the time in a different time zone.
Stopwatch Mode
This mode allows you to measure elapsed time, split times, and the times of the first and second finishers. The maximum measurable time is 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds. The screen can be illuminated by pressing 'L'.
Setting Time and Date
- In Current Time Mode, press and hold 'A' until the seconds digits flash, indicating they are selected for setting.
- Press 'C' to cycle through the digits to be set: Seconds, Summer Time On/Off, Hours, Minutes, Year, Month, Date.
- When seconds are flashing, press 'D' to reset them to 00. If seconds are 30-59, minutes will increment by 1; if 00-29, minutes remain unchanged.
- When setting Summer Time, press 'D' to toggle between Summer Time and Standard Time. The DST indicator appears in Current Time, Day Counter, and Alarm modes when Summer Time is active.
- When hours, minutes, year, month, or date are flashing, press 'D' to increase or 'B' to decrease the value. Holding the buttons speeds up the change.
- After setting all values, press 'A' to return to the current time display. The day of the week is set automatically based on the date.
Phonebook Mode Operations
Entering New Data
- In Phonebook Mode, press 'D' or 'B' until a blank entry appears. If no blank entry appears, the memory is full. Delete old entries to add new ones.
- Press and hold 'A' until a cursor appears in the text area.
- Use 'B' and 'D' to scroll through characters at the cursor position. Holding these buttons scrolls faster.
- When the desired character is at the cursor, press 'C' to move the cursor to the right.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter the name (up to 8 characters). If the name is shorter than 8 characters, move the cursor to the 8th position using 'C'.
- After entering the name, press 'C' to move the cursor to the number area. Pressing 'C' from the 8th name position moves to the number area. Pressing 'C' from the 12th number position returns to the text area.
- Use 'B' and 'D' to scroll through characters (0-9, space) at the cursor position. Holding these buttons scrolls faster.
- After entering the data, press 'A' to save and return to the Phonebook Mode.
Reading Data
In Phonebook Mode, press 'D' (+) or 'B' (-) to scroll through entries.
Editing Data
- In Phonebook Mode, scroll to the entry you wish to edit.
- Press and hold 'A' until a cursor appears.
- Use 'C' to move the cursor to the character you want to change.
- Use 'B' and 'D' to change the selected character. Refer to "Entering New Data" for details on inputting text and numbers.
- Press 'A' to save the changes and return to Phonebook Mode.
Deleting Data
- In Phonebook Mode, scroll to the entry you wish to delete.
- Press and hold 'A' until a cursor appears in the text area.
- Press 'B' and 'D' simultaneously to delete the entry. "CLR" will appear on the screen, indicating the entry has been erased. The cursor will appear in the text area.
- Enter new data or press 'A' to return to Phonebook Mode.
Day Counter Mode Operations
This mode allows you to count the number of days from the current date to a specific target date.
Setting Target Date:
- In Day Counter Mode, press 'D' (+) or 'B' (-) to select the counter number you want to set.
- Press and hold 'A' until a flashing cursor appears, indicating entry mode.
- Pressing 'C' cycles through the following settings: Day, Month, Year. Holding 'C' cycles faster.
- When the cursor is in the text area, use 'B' and 'D' to scroll through characters. Holding these buttons scrolls faster.
- When the cursor is in the date area, press 'D' to increase or 'B' to decrease the digits. Holding these buttons scrolls faster.
- After setting all values, press 'A' to exit setting mode.
The date can be set from January 1, 1940, to December 31, 2039.
To clear the counter, press 'B' and 'D' simultaneously. "CLR" will appear, and the date will reset to the current date. You can then set a new target date.
Sound Signal Mode Operations

- Press 'A' to exit setting mode. This operation automatically enables the alarm.
The alarm indicator appears on the screen in all modes when an alarm is active.
Checking Sound Signal: Press and hold 'B' to check the alarm sound. Holding 'B' also turns the Daily Alarm and Hourly Signal on/off.
Turning Daily Alarm and Hourly Signal On/Off:
- In Sound Signal Mode, press 'D' to select the desired alarm or Hourly Signal.
- Press 'B' to turn the signal on or off. Indicators for active alarms are displayed on the screen in all modes.
Stopwatch Mode Operations
This mode allows you to measure elapsed time, split times, and the times of the first and second finishers.
a) Measuring Elapsed Time: Press 'D' to start, 'D' to stop, 'A' to reset.
b) Measuring Split Time: Press 'D' to start, 'A' to split, 'A' to resume, 'D' to stop, 'A' to reset.
c) Split Time and Recording 1st/2nd Place: Press 'D' to start, 'A' to split (records 1st place), 'D' to stop (records 2nd place), 'A' to reset.
Dual Time Mode Operations
This mode allows you to display the time in a different time zone alongside the local time.
Setting Dual Time:
- Press 'D' to advance the time by 30 minutes, and 'B' to decrease it by 30 minutes. Holding the buttons speeds up the change.
- Press 'A' to set the dual time to the current time, then make desired adjustments.
- The time format (12- or 24-hour) matches the setting in Current Time Mode. Adjustments made in Current Time Mode will affect Dual Time Mode, and vice versa.
