Note: If the Bluetooth wireless microphones are used with Microsoft Teams Rooms system, Zoom Rooms system, or Yealink VC500/VC800/VC880 video conferencing system, the BT42 Bluetooth USB Dongle must be purchased. If the Bluetooth wireless microphones are used with a Yealink VC200 video conferencing endpoint, the BT42 Bluetooth USB Dongle is not needed.
Component Instruction
The Yealink CPW90-BT Bluetooth Wireless Microphone features the following components:
- Battery Indicator: Shows battery status.
- Built-in Microphone: Captures audio.
- Mute Button: Toggles microphone mute.
- Charging Slot: For connecting to the charging cradle.
Charging the Bluetooth Wireless Microphones
Follow these steps to charge the microphones:
- Place the Bluetooth wireless microphones on the charging cradle.
- Connect the charging cradle to a power source using the 1.8m Micro USB Cable and Power Adapter.
During charging, the battery indicator glows red. When the battery capacity reaches 100%, the indicator glows green.
When the Bluetooth wireless microphones are charged, they will start automatically. Users can also long tap the mute button on the Bluetooth wireless microphone for 3 seconds to turn it on.
Note: For first-time use, fully charge the Bluetooth wireless microphones. It is recommended to charge the wireless microphones even when the battery is full if they are not in use.
Working with the Video Conferencing System
Pairing with the Video Conferencing System
If the video conferencing system and Bluetooth wireless microphones are purchased together, they are pre-paired. Simply turn on the Bluetooth wireless microphones to use them. For Yealink VC500/VC800/VC880 systems, ensure a BT42 Bluetooth USB Dongle is connected before use.
If the Bluetooth wireless microphones are purchased separately, manual pairing with the video conferencing system is required.
Procedure for Pairing:
- On the remote control, navigate to More → Setting → Video & Audio → Wireless Micphone.
- Select Add Wireless Micphone.
- Place the Bluetooth wireless microphones on the charging cradle and long press the mute button for 5 seconds until the mute LED indicator flashes yellow rapidly.
The Bluetooth wireless microphones will then be paired with the video conferencing system.
Unbinding the Paired Bluetooth Wireless Microphones
To pair new Bluetooth wireless microphones with the video conferencing system, existing microphones must be unbound.
Procedure for Unbinding:
- On the remote control, navigate to More → Setting → Video & Audio → Wireless Micphone.
- Select the desired Bluetooth wireless microphone and press the OK key.
- Select Unbind. The screen will prompt "Unbind device?".
- Select OK to confirm.
Finding the Paired Bluetooth Wireless Microphones
Procedure for Finding:
- On the remote control, navigate to More → Setting → Video & Audio → Wireless Micphone.
- Select the desired Bluetooth wireless microphone and press the OK key.
- Select Find. The mute LED indicator will flash red and green alternately.
- Select Cancel to stop the search.
Working with Microsoft Teams System/Zoom Rooms System
Pairing with the Yealink UVC80/UVC50 Camera
Before using the Bluetooth wireless microphones, ensure a BT42 dongle is connected to the USB port of the Yealink UVC80/UVC50 camera.
Procedure for Pairing:
- Long press the mute key on the remote control for 5 seconds. The UVC camera indicator will flash green, and the UVC80/UVC50 will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Place the Bluetooth wireless microphones on the charging cradle and long press the mute button for 5 seconds until the mute LED indicator flashes yellow rapidly.
The Bluetooth wireless microphone will be paired with the UVC80/UVC50. The mute LED indicator automatically synchronizes with the status of Microsoft Teams/Zoom Rooms system.
Unpairing with the Yealink UVC80/UVC50 Camera
Procedure for Unpairing:
- Long press the mute key on the remote control for 5 seconds. The UVC80/UVC50 indicator will flash green, and the UVC80/UVC50 will enter Bluetooth unpairing mode.
- Long press the mute button for 5 seconds until the mute LED indicator flashes yellow rapidly.
The Bluetooth wireless microphone will be unpaired with the UVC80/UVC50.
Muting or Unmuting the Wireless Microphones
- Tap the mute button on the microphone to mute it. The mute LED indicator will glow red.
- Tap the mute button again to unmute it.
LED Instruction
The CPW90-BT has two indicators that display its operational status: the Mute LED Indicator and the Battery LED Indicator.
Mute LED Indicator of CPW90-BT

Flashing red and green alternately (only applicable to VCS) | The video conferencing system is searching for the CPW90-BT which has registered with it. |
Off | The system is idle. |
Battery LED Indicator on the CPW90-BT
LED Status | Description |

Solid green for one second and then off | The CPW90-BT is turned on. |
Solid green for 3 seconds and then off | The system is idle. |
Solid green | The CPW90-BT is fully charged. |
Solid red | The CPW90-BT is being charged. |
Fast flashing red 3 times and then off | The battery capacity is too low to turn on the CPW90-BT. |
Slowly flashing red | The battery capacity is less than 10%. |
Off | If the mute button is tapped and the battery indicator LED on the CPW90-BT remains off, it means the CPW90-BT is turned off. |

Explanation of Symbols
- ⎓ DC symbol: Indicates direct current voltage.
- ☒ WEEE Warning symbol: This symbol (a crossed-out wheeled bin) indicates that electrical and electronic equipment should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. It must be collected separately to avoid potential environmental and human health effects from hazardous substances.

General Requirements
- Before installation and use, read safety instructions carefully and observe operational conditions.
- Keep the device dry, clean, and avoid collision during storage, transportation, and operation.
- Do not attempt to dismantle the device. For discrepancies, contact an appointed maintenance center.
- Use the device in compliance with relevant laws and statutes, respecting the legal rights of others.
Environmental Requirements
- Place the device in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the device dry and free of dust.
- Do not place the device on or near inflammable or fire-vulnerable objects (e.g., rubber materials).
- Keep the device away from heat sources or bare flames (e.g., candles, electric heaters).
Operating Requirements
- Do not allow children to operate the device without guidance.
- Do not allow children to play with the device or accessories to prevent accidental swallowing.
- Use only accessories provided or authorized by the manufacturer.
- The device's power supply must meet its input voltage requirements. Use only the provided surge protection power socket.
- Ensure hands are completely dry before plugging or unplugging any cable.
- Do not spill any liquid on the product or use the equipment near water (e.g., bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, wet basement, swimming pool).
- During a thunderstorm, stop using the device and disconnect it from the power supply. Unplug the power plug and the Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) twisted pair (radio frequency cable) to prevent lightning strike.
- If the device is unused for a long time, disconnect it from the power supply and unplug the power plug.
- If smoke, abnormal noise, or smell is emitted from the device, disconnect it from the power supply and unplug the power plug immediately. Contact the specified maintenance center for repair.
- Do not insert any object into equipment slots that is not part of the product or auxiliary product.
- Before connecting a cable, connect the grounding cable of the device first. Do not disconnect the grounding cable until all other cables are disconnected.
Battery Requirements
- Do not immerse the battery in water, which could short-circuit and damage it.
- Do not expose the battery to open flames or extremely high temperatures, which could cause it to explode.
- Power the handset off before removing the battery.
- Do not use the battery to power any device other than this handset.
- Do not open or mutilate the battery; released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to eyes or skin.
- Use only the rechargeable battery pack delivered with the handset or those expressly recommended by Yealink.
- Defective or exhausted batteries should not be disposed of as municipal waste. Return old batteries to the battery supplier, a licensed battery dealer, or a designated collection facility.
Cleaning Requirements
- Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the power supply.
- Use a soft, dry, and anti-static cloth to clean the device.
- Keep the power plug clean and dry.
Troubleshooting
Issue: The unit cannot supply power to the Yealink device.
- Possible Cause: Bad connection with the plug.
- Solution: Clean the plug with a dry cloth. Connect it to another wall outlet.
- Possible Cause: The usage environment is out of operating temperature range.
- Solution: Use within the operating temperature range.
- Possible Cause: The cable between the unit and the Yealink device is connected incorrectly.
- Solution: Connect the cable correctly.
- Possible Cause: Incorrect Yealink device or power supply.
- Solution: Use the correct power supply.
- Possible Cause: Dust in the port.
- Solution: Clean the port.
