The Yealink CP960 package includes the following items:
- CP960 IP Phone: 1 unit, the main conference phone.
- Ethernet Cable: 1 unit, 7.5m CAT5E UTP cable, for network connection.
- Quick Start Guide: 1 unit, this document.
- CP Wired Expansion Mic CPE90 (Optional): 2 units, for expanding audio pickup range.
- CP Wireless Expansion Mic CPW90 (Optional): 2 units, includes a 0.3m Micro USB Cable, Charging Cradle, and Quick Start Guide for wireless audio expansion.
- PoE Adapter (Optional): 1 unit, includes a 2m CAT5E FTP Ethernet Cable and Power Cord, for power over Ethernet.
Note: The CPW90 helps to expand the audio range of the IP phone. For more information, refer to the Yealink CPW90 Quick Start Guide. Yealink recommends using only accessories provided or approved by Yealink. Unapproved third-party accessories may result in poor performance.
Overview of Yealink Solution for Zoom Rooms
The Yealink CP960, with its Zoom Rooms version, functions as a Zoom Rooms controller, speaker, and microphone. It communicates with a Mini-PC connected to the same Local Area Network (LAN). The Mini-PC requires the installation of the Yealink Plug-in for Zoom Rooms and the Zoom Rooms App. Yealink UVC80/50 Cameras are plug-and-play devices.
System Connection Diagram:
The diagram illustrates the connectivity of the Yealink Zoom Rooms solution:
- The Yealink CP960 is connected to the Local Area Network (LAN) via an Ethernet cable. It can be powered by a PoE adapter (54V/0.56A) or a PoE switch.
- The Mini-PC is also connected to the LAN.
- The Yealink UVC80 (or UVC50) camera connects to the Mini-PC via a USB 2.0 cable.
- The Mini-PC connects to Display1 and Display2 via HDMI cables.
- The Mini-PC also has additional HDMI ports and USB ports.
Note: The CP960 should be powered by a PoE adapter (54V/0.56A) or PoE switch. All devices are powered separately. The cable should be replaced immediately if its outer skin is broken.
Assembling the Phone
1. Connect the power and wired network.
Connect the Ethernet cable (7.5m) from your network to the 'Internet' port on the PoE adapter. Connect the 'Ethernet IN' port of the PoE adapter to the 'Ethernet' port on the CP960. Connect the power cord to the PoE adapter's 'PWR' port and then to a power outlet.
2. (Optional) Connect the wired microphone or wireless microphone.
Connect the wired microphone
Connect the wired expansion microphones to the dedicated ports on the CP960's microphone arms. There are two such ports, one on each side arm.
Connect and register the wireless microphone
Step:
- Place the CPW90 wireless expansion microphone onto its charger cradle.
- Connect the micro USB port on the charger cradle to the USB port on the CP960 using a 0.3m USB cable. The CPW90 will automatically enter registration mode, indicated by its mute LED indicator flashing yellow rapidly.
- On the CP960 touch screen, swipe down from the top, then tap Settings (default password:
admin
) → Wireless Microphone → ➕. - Long press the mute key on the CPW90 for 5 seconds. The CPW90 will automatically register with the CP960 conference phone.

Hardware Component Instructions
Top View of CP960:
- Microphone: Located on each of the three arms.
- Mute Indicator LED: Next to each microphone, indicates mute status.
- Speaker: Central circular area.
- Touch Screen: Rectangular display for interaction.
- Volume(-) Touch Key: On the touch screen, for decreasing volume.
- Volume(+) Touch Key: On the touch screen, for increasing volume.
- Home Touch Key: On the touch screen, for returning to the home screen.
Bottom View of CP960 Ports:
- Security Slot: For attaching a security cable.
- 3.5mm Audio-out Port: For connecting external audio devices.
- Network Port: For Ethernet connection.
- USB Port: Multiple USB ports (including Micro USB Port and standard USB Ports) for connecting accessories like the charger cradle for wireless microphones or other USB devices.
Installing Yealink Plug-in for Zoom Rooms
The Yealink Plug-in for Zoom Rooms facilitates audio data and control data communication between the CP960 and the Zoom Rooms application. Download the plug-in from the Yealink Website and install it on your Mini-PC. If you purchased a packaged product, this installation may not be required.
