- Always weigh/use the scale on a hard and flat surface. When you are on the weighing platform, please keep still.
- For children under 10 or adults over 100, the scale can only be used in regular weighing mode.
- For adults over 70, body builders, or people with extreme fitness levels, there may be deviations in the measured data.
Warnings
The body analysis weighing mode, called Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), used by this scale, determines your body fat proportion by transferring a harmless signal through your body.
This scale provides body analysis measures for a majority of people, but people with the following conditions should never use this scale under this weighing mode:
- Pregnant women
- Those with symptoms of edema
- Those on dialysis treatment
- Those who use heart pacemakers or other implanted medical devices
These individuals should only use the scale under the regular weighing mode, which will indicate only their body weight.
The fat and hydration percentages content evaluated by this body fat scale is only for reference (not for medical purpose). If your fat and hydration percentages content is over/below normal level, please consult your doctor for more advice.
Keep away from strong electro-magnetic fields when using the scale.
The surface could be slippery if wet. Moreover, the weighing platform surface is glazed; never step on the edge of the scale and do keep balance during your weighing.

Understanding the scale's buttons:
- ON/SET: Turns on the scale, saves parameters, or prompts to the next parameter setting.
- [Up Arrow Symbol] (▲): Advances the value by one interval with each press. Hold down to advance more quickly.
- [Down Arrow Symbol] (▼): Decreases the value by one interval with each press. Hold down to decrease more quickly.
Regular Weighing Mode (Body Weight Only)
1. Auto Step-on Weighing
To weigh only your body weight:
- Install batteries and place the scale on a flat floor.
- Step onto the weighing platform.
- The scale displays your weight.
- Once the weight is stabilized, the digits will flash and lock in.
[Description of auto step-on diagram: Shows the sequence of placing the scale, stepping on, displaying weight, and digits locking.]
2. Consecutive Add-on Weighing
This mode allows weighing additional loads after an initial weight is stabilized. Ensure each add-on load exceeds 2 kg (4.4 lb) for a new reading.
Example: To weigh a baby, weigh yourself first, then pick up the baby without stepping off the scale. The scale will display the total weight. Subtracting your initial weight from the total will give the baby's weight.
[Description of consecutive add-on weighing diagram: Shows initial weight, then holding a baby, and the final total weight display.]

Warning Indications
The scale provides specific indications for different situations:
- Lo: Low battery indication - Battery power is low. Replace batteries.
- Err: Overload indication - The weighing subject exceeds the scale's maximum capacity (440 lb / 200 kg).
- ErrL: Low Fat % Indication - Fat percentage is below the outlined performance index and cannot be measured. Consult a health care professional.
- ErrH: High Fat % Indication - Fat percentage is above the outlined performance index and cannot be measured. Consult a health care professional.
- [: Re-test - An error exists. Step off the scale and start over.
Readings and Assessment
1. Body Fat Percentage
The scale uses a harmless electrical current (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis - BIA) to measure body composition. The current passes more quickly through fat-free tissue (like muscle) than fat. Resistance to the current relates to fat-free mass and body density.
2. Understanding the Readings
Fat percentage, hydration, bone, and muscle percentages are indices of body composition. The information provided is for reference only. Consult a health care professional for detailed information.
