Hardware Review
The CS22DP KVM switch features the following ports and components:
- 1. Micro USB Power Port: For optional external power supply.
- 2. Port LEDs: Indicate the status of connected computers.
- 3. Console Ports: Connect your keyboard, mouse, monitor, microphone, and speakers here.
- 4. KVM Cables: Integrated cables that connect to your computers, including DisplayPort, USB, and Audio.
- 5. Remote Port Selector: A separate button to switch between computers.
- 6. USB Keyboard and Mouse Connectors: For connecting USB keyboard and mouse.
- 7. DisplayPort Connectors: For connecting DisplayPort monitors.
- 8. Audio Connectors: For connecting microphone and speakers.
Hardware Installation
To prevent damage to your installation from power surges or static electricity, it is important that all connected devices are properly grounded. ⚡
Steps to set up the CS22DP:
- Plug the USB mouse, USB keyboard, monitor, microphone, and speakers into their respective console ports (labeled 3) on the CS22DP.
- Connect the DisplayPort, USB, and Audio connectors of the integrated KVM cables (labeled 4) to their corresponding ports on the computers you are installing.
- (Optional) If the power supply from the connected computers to the USB peripherals is insufficient, you can connect a USB cable from the CS22DP's Micro USB Power Port (labeled 1) to another USB power source (e.g., a PC's USB port, a USB hub, or a DC 5V USB power adapter).
Note: A USB to Micro USB cable is not included in this package. Please contact your ATEN dealer for product information.
Operation
Use the Remote Port Selector button (labeled 5) to switch control between the two connected computers. ?️
Note: Long press the remote port selector button for 3 seconds to enable or disable the monitor re-detection mode on the selected PC port. ⏱️
