Overview
The ATEN CL5708M is an 8-port, 43cm LCD KVM Switch with USB/PS2 and VGA support. This integrated KVM console solution, housed in a retractable Slideaway chassis, allows users to manage multiple computers from a single PS/2 or USB console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). A single CL5708 can control up to 8 computers. It can be cascaded with up to 31 additional KVM switches to manage up to 256 computers from a single console. The CL5708M is a modern KVM technology solution featuring a built-in 43cm LCD screen and a full keyboard with touchpad, mounted in a retractable 1U rackmount housing for 19-inch racks.

- Automatic station position detection for daisy-chained setups, eliminating the need for DIP switch configuration. Front panel LED indicators show station positions.
- Port names are automatically reconfigured when the station order is changed.
- Two-level password protection: only authorized users can view and control computers.
- Supports one administrator and up to four user accounts with independent profiles.
- Automatic port switching for continuous monitoring of selected computers.
- Broadcast function: keyboard commands can be sent simultaneously to all connected computers.
- Hot-plugging support: connect or disconnect computers without shutting down the switch.
- On/off beep sound via hotkey and OSD menu.
- Simultaneous firmware updates for all cascaded KVM switches.
- Note: USB peripherals are only supported when using USB cable sets; they do not function with PS/2 cable sets.
