In addition, observe the instructions of the devices used in conjunction with this roof monitor.
Attentions and Precautions
- Protect power lines from damage (folding, tangling, stretching, bending, pulling, or heating).
- Fasten seat belts when watching from the rear seat.
- Do not apply heavy pressure on the device or drop it. Heavy impact may break the LCD or the entire device.
- Incorrect operation may cause casualty due to electric shock or endanger others and properties.
- Wiring and installation should be performed by experienced and professional technicians.
- Fasten leads correctly to prevent loose screws and rails.
- Turn down the sound volume before shutting down the device to prevent hearing damage.
- Regularly clean and check the connecting part of the power line to prevent dust or dirt from covering the power supply. Do not cover or block vent holes, which may lead to fire when overheating.
- Device position should not restrict driver's movement or distract the driver. To prevent accidents and injuries, position the device away from the driver, such as the steering wheel, shift lever, handbrake areas, or front windshield area. The device may cause injury in case of braking if not installed correctly.

- Use only a rated voltage fuse box (2A) to prevent damage to the device.
- Use only specified wiring to avoid damage to the power supply or fire.
- Pay attention to electric shock hazards.

- Immediately disconnect the power supply in case of smoke appearing or any abnormal sound to prevent fire or electrical shock.

Structure and Remote Control
Function Diagram
The roof monitor unit features the following components:
- 1. Remote Control Receiver: Located on the unit for receiving signals from the remote.
- 2. Dome Light Switch: Controls the interior dome light. Options include: LEFT to turn off, MIDDLE for auto setting, and RIGHT to turn on.
- 3. Screen Lock: Function to lock the screen.
- 4. LED Dome Light: Integrated interior lighting.
- 5. Power Signal Line Connecting Port: Port for connecting the power and signal lines.
- 6. LCD Display Panel: The main screen of the monitor.
Remote Control Key Functions
The remote control provides access to all monitor functions:
- 1. VIDEO [VIDEO/SELECT]: Selects between AV1 and AV2 input sources.

- 3. VOL+ [VOL+]: Increases the audio volume.

Signal Display
The monitor displays either the selected input signal or a "No Signal" message.
- With Signal (AV1/AV2): Shows the input source (e.g., AV 1) and the Blaupunkt logo.
- Without Signal: Displays "No Signal".

Troubleshooting

Wiring Diagram

Connections to the Monitor Unit:
- R (Red wire): Connects to +12V power.
- B (Black wire): Connects to Ground.
- G (Yellow wire): Signal detection for the dome light.
- Y (Yellow wire): Video Input 1, typically via RCA port to connect to GPS, DVR, or other devices.
- Y (Yellow wire): Video Input 2.
Additional Power Connections:
- R (Red wire): Spare parts power. Connect this line when the engine switch is on the ACC position.
- B (Black wire): Ground. Ensure this grounding is connected to a metal part of the vehicle's body in good condition.

Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for installing the roof monitor:
- Separate the mounting stand from the main unit by removing the four screws.
- Determine the desired position for the unit in the middle of the ceiling, ensuring equal measurements on both sides. Mark this position and carefully cut out the marked ceiling carpet.
- Align the elongated mounting holes on the stand with the corresponding mounting holes on the vehicle's ceiling.
- Select an appropriately sized screw for installation. Install the stand securely. Before tightening the screws, ensure any wire rods within the wire holes are pulled out.
Installation Kit Details:
The installation kit includes the main body of the monitor, a power signal line to connect to the display, and screw caps. Pay attention to the correct direction when inserting the power signal line into the display. Rubber plugs are provided for mounting, with options for 'Without Gap' and 'With Gap' installations.
