Safety Notes & Attention
This device has been manufactured according to established safety guidelines. However, dangers may still occur if the safety notes in this manual are not observed. This manual is intended to familiarize the user with the important functions of the device. Read this carefully, prior to using the product. Keep this manual in an easily accessible location. In addition, observe the instructions of other devices used in conjunction with this device. Do not dismantle or modify the device. Installation and repairs, if necessary, should be performed by a specialist. Unauthorized installation, disassembly, or modification may result in unit malfunctions and void of warranty.
Attention:
- The User Interface (UI) displayed in the manual is sourced from various Head Unit models. This approach aims to enhance user experience by providing guidance that caters to navigating different monitors.
- Select a mounting location that ensures the driver's visibility is not obstructed in any circumstances and prevents injuries to drivers and passengers during emergency braking or accidents.
- Prior to fitting the unit into the mount, verify proper wire connections and ensure the unit functions correctly. Refrain from touching the unit during a lightning flash, as there is a risk of electric shock.
- Avoid applying or dropping any pressure on the front panel of your video monitor.
- Exercise caution to avoid damaging vehicle components while drilling holes for the mount.
- This unit is suitable for car rooftop placement. Vehicles may vary from the provided description; consult an authorized Blaupunkt dealer or the vehicle's manufacturer if the information does not align with your specific installation requirements.
- Avoid overloading the cigarette lighter charger with more than one device at a time.
- Exercise special care when dealing with liquids in your vehicle. In the event of any spills on the equipment, safely pull over to the side of the road and switch off the ignition to disconnect or gently wipe the affected areas with a towel. Refrain from using the equipment until all liquids have either dried up naturally or until a qualified technician at a service center has inspected the equipment. Failure to do so may lead to significant harm or hazards.
- The device is designed for 12V vehicle and it does not record video.
- Do not install this unit near a heater outlet. Avoid covering or obstructing heater ducts or vents, as this may pose a fire hazard or risk of electric shock.
- Use only a lightly damped cloth to cleanse the screen, ensuring it is dampened with purified water. Before wiping, ensure excess water is wrung out from the cloth. Avoid the use of cleaners or chemicals on the screen. In many instances, a dry cloth will suffice for cleaning purposes.
- Extended periods of monitor use without the engine running may result in draining the vehicle's battery charge.
- Exclusively use the parts included with the unit.

For ROME 1156A TYAL / ROME 1156M TYAL (Made for Toyota Alphard, year 2018 - 2023)
- Remove the original car roof monitor.
- Install the iron plate to the crossbeam of the car by screwing these 4 holes.
- Pull the cables (HDMI-in, Power Cable) out from the wire hole of the iron plate.
- Screw the entire device to the iron plate.
For ROME 1140M RM, ROME 1140A RM, ROME 1156M RM, ROME 1156A RM
- Separate the iron plate from the main unit by removing the 4 screws.
- Mark the position of the unit in the middle with similar place measurement on each side. Cut the marked ceiling carpet out.
- Pull the cable (HDMI-in, Power Cable) out from the wire hole of the iron plate before screwing the entire device to the rooftop.
- Choose a suitable size of screws to install the iron plate on the rooftop.
Changing Monitor Covers
- Remove the existing monitor's cover. Ensure to pull out the sides of the cover simultaneously to prevent damage.
- Select the preferred changeable cover colours and align the buckle on the left cover with the left groove of the monitor, then attach the rest of the cover on the monitor carefully.
- Ensure no gaps are between the edges of the cover and the monitor by flattening the cover.

- Apple: Ensure to connect the monitor to the smartphone's hotspot. Then open Airplay to connect to CastE8t.
