Installation

For ROME 1156A TYAL / ROME 1156M TYAL (Made for Toyota Alphard, year 2018 - 2023)

  1. Remove the original car roof monitor.
  2. Install the iron plate to the crossbeam of the car by screwing these 4 holes.
  3. Pull the cables (HDMI-in, Power Cable) out from the wire hole of the iron plate.
  4. Screw the entire device to the iron plate.

For ROME 1140M RM, ROME 1140A RM, ROME 1156M RM, ROME 1156A RM

  1. Separate the iron plate from the main unit by removing the 4 screws.
  2. Mark the position of the unit in the middle with similar place measurement on each side. Cut the marked ceiling carpet out.
  3. Pull the cable (HDMI-in, Power Cable) out from the wire hole of the iron plate before screwing the entire device to the rooftop.
  4. Choose a suitable size of screws to install the iron plate on the rooftop.

Changing Monitor Covers

  1. Remove the existing monitor's cover. Ensure to pull out the sides of the cover simultaneously to prevent damage.
  2. Select the preferred changeable cover colours and align the buckle on the left cover with the left groove of the monitor, then attach the rest of the cover on the monitor carefully.
  3. Ensure no gaps are between the edges of the cover and the monitor by flattening the cover.

Press Settings ⚙️ to adjust the device settings.

Music Playback

Select Music ? icon on the Home Page to playback media that are connected via local device SD card or USB.

Video Playback

Select Video ▶️ icon on the Home Page to playback media that are connected via local device, SD card or USB.

Documents Manager

Select File Manager ? icon to manage documents playback media that are connect via local device, SD card or USB.

HDMI Video Input

Select Video Input ? icon to watch videos that are connected via HDMI or AV video input.

Select Wireless Display ? icon to setup mirrorlink from the monitor to the smartphone. (Subject to smartphone setting support)

Other Applications

Select Apps ? icon to manage other applications and settings.

Wiring Diagram

Surround view does not show even after restarting the display monitor/ car radio.Examine if the power supplies is properly connected.
Surround view does not show even though power supplies of the reverse light or the rear car plate light is properly connected.Examine if the power supply cables is damaged. Repair/replace if the cables are damaged.
