Determine the installation location and clean the surface using alcohol wipes (not provided). For more information on surface prep please review the 3M website*. Start at the wired end and begin peeling back the tape.

Step 2
Remove paper backing from tape before placing in track then press the light into the aluminum mounting channel or onto a piece of 0.1"H x 1/2"W (3mm x 12mm) aluminum flat bar. Continue working along the light and peeling the paper as you go. Only pull back a few inches at a time to prevent the tape light sticking to itself.
In order to properly dissipate the heat, the tape light must be installed in/on an aluminum channel or flat bar. Failure to properly install light will void the warranty.

Step 3
Follow the wiring diagram below to wire the light to your system.
Wiring Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates the connection between a Power Supply (24V-110V) and the Tape Light. The Power Supply has terminals for Load (L), Neutral (N), and Green (G). The Tape Light has a Black wire (Negative) and a Red wire (Positive). The Black wire connects to the Negative terminal of the power supply, and the Red wire connects to the Positive terminal. The diagram also indicates connecting the Power Supply to a 110V-277V power source.
