Button Light
Part#: 69502
Installation Instructions
Parts/Tools Needed:
- Button Light
- Power Drill
- Butt Splice Connectors (Not Provided)
- Wire Grommet (Not Provided)
- Silicone Sealant (Not Provided)
Installation Considerations:
- Disconnect power before installing, adding, or changing any component.
- To avoid a hazard to children, account for all parts and destroy all packing materials.
- It is recommended that fuse protection be added to the positive (+) input.
Installation Steps:
1. Drill Hole and Prepare Surface: Drill a 3/4" hole (or 1" if using the decorative collar) in your mounting surface. To prevent damage to the wires, install a wire grommet. Apply silicone sealant around the perimeter of the light for retention and sealing. [Diagram: A surface with a drilled hole showing a wire passing through a grommet, and the Button Light being inserted.]
2. Wire and Install Light: Wire the light based on the appropriate wiring diagram. Feed wires back into the hole and push the light in place. Use silicone sealant to hold it in place.
Wiring Diagrams:
Single Color Option:
Incoming 12V DC Power (Red [+], Black [-]) connects to Load [+], Neutral [-]. Load [+] passes through a Fuse and connects to the Red (+) wire of the Button Light. Neutral [-] connects to the Black (-) wire of the Button Light. [Diagram: Incoming 12V DC Power (Red wire for +, Black wire for -) connects to a fuse (from Red +), then to the Red wire of the Button Light. The Black wire of the power source connects to the Black wire of the Button Light.]
RGB Option:
Incoming 12V DC Power (Red [+], Black [-]) connects to Load [+], Neutral [-]. Load [+] passes through a Fuse and connects to the Black (+) wire. Neutral [-] connects to the Neutral [-] input. Both connect to an RGB Controller. The RGB Controller outputs R, G, B, which connect to the respective wires of the Button Light. [Diagram: Incoming 12V DC Power (Red wire for +, Black wire for -) connects to a fuse (from Red +), then to the Black (+) wire of the Button Light. The Neutral (-) of the power source connects to the Neutral (-) input of the RGB Controller. The RGB Controller has outputs R, G, B connected to the respective wires of the Button Light.]
RGBW Option:
Incoming 12V DC Power (Red [+], Black [-]) connects to Load [+], Neutral [-]. Load [+] passes through a Fuse and connects to the Black (+) wire. Neutral [-] connects to the Neutral [-] input. Both connect to an RGBW Controller. The RGBW Controller outputs R, G, B, W, which connect to the respective wires of the Button Light.
