Setup Camera
What You'll Need:
- Wi-Fi and a working broadband internet connection with at least 2 Mbps upload speed.
- A phone or tablet with iOS 9/Android 5.0 or later.
- A power outlet.
- A Phillips screwdriver or power drill with Phillips driver bit.
How the System Works
After connecting to Wi-Fi, the GO1 camera allows you to check the view anytime and anywhere via the Arenti APP. The camera typically operates in a low-power sleep mode to conserve battery, waking up when the PIR motion sensor is triggered.
Power On
Locate the power key on the side of the camera body. Press and hold it for 5 seconds to start the camera. The front network indicator light will turn on and slowly flash red, indicating that the boot-up process is complete.
LED Indicator:
Indicator Status | Meaning |
---|---|
Constant blue | Connection succeeds |
Blue flashing fast | Upgrading |
Red flashing slowly | Waiting to connect |
Red flashing fast | Network abnormal |
Connect Arenti APP
Scan the QR code to download and install the Arenti APP. Alternatively, search for "Arenti" on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). Download and install the app. On the APP's home page, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner. Follow the in-app guide to add the camera step by step.
After a successful connection, the indicator light will be solid blue.
Troubleshooting
Camera Not Powering On / Front Network Indicator Not On:
- Ensure the camera is fully charged.
- Try charging the camera and then press and hold the power key on the camera body for 5 seconds to start it.
Failed to Scan QR Code from Arenti APP:
- Remove the protective film from the camera lens.
- Maintain a distance of 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) between the camera and your mobile phone.
- Confirm the camera indicator is flashing red slowly.
- Press the power key to wake up the camera.
Failed to Connect Wi-Fi:
- Confirm successful QR code scanning: After scanning, the camera will emit a prompt sound, and the network indicator will flash red rapidly.
- Ensure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password. The password should not contain special characters like =\';.
- Verify that the Wi-Fi band meets the camera's network requirements; the camera supports only 2.4GHz.
- Ensure the camera is located near the Wi-Fi router.
If issues persist, share a screenshot of your Wi-Fi router settings and the camera's SN (found on the camera body) with support@arenti.com for assistance.
Charge Camera:
Fully charge the camera before mounting it.
Charge Indicator | Status |
---|---|
Charging time (5V/1A) | Constant red: camera charging Constant blue: camera fully charged |
10 hours from 1% - 100% |
Installation
Find a suitable position that provides the desired field of view. Consider the following factors:
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Keep the camera within your router's Wi-Fi range.
- Avoid positioning the lens facing porch lights, bright objects, or busy roads.
- Mount the camera 2-3 meters (79-118 inches) above the ground. This height is close enough to capture faces for identification and communication, ensuring the camera captures the intended view.
Screw Bracket Installation
- Fix the screw bracket onto the wall using screws.
- Insert the device into the bracket and secure it with the bottom screw.

Camera Using Tips
PIR Motion Sensor:
The PIR sensor detects body heat from 2-10 meters. You can customize the detection range via the Arenti APP: Go to Device >> Settings >> Alert settings >> Motion Detection >> Sensitivity.
Sensitivity | Detection Range |
---|---|
Level 1-3 (Low) | Up to 2-5 meters |
Level 4-7 (Mid) | Up to 5-8 meters |
Level 8-10 (High) | Up to 8-10 meters |
For enhanced human detection accuracy, enable the human shape detection feature to filter out false alarms. This can be activated for both day and night.
Battery Life:
The camera's battery life depends on how often it is triggered. Frequent activation will consume battery power faster.
Suggestions:
- Place the camera in an environment with a stable Wi-Fi connection.
- Avoid installing the camera near roads, heat sources (like air conditioners), or direct sunlight to prevent frequent false PIR triggers.
- In the Arenti APP, set a lower sensitivity and a longer alarm interval.
FAQ
My camera was triggered (blue light on, motion detection active) but no alert notification?
Try disabling the Day/Night Human Shape Detection. If enabled, alerts are sent only when a human shape is recognized, but the accuracy is not 100%. At night, the camera might misidentify shapes, failing to record or send notifications.
How to change or update the Wi-Fi password for the device?
Remove the camera from the Arenti APP, tap "Add," and follow the steps to connect to the new Wi-Fi network.
How to share Arenti devices with friends and family?
In the Arenti APP, navigate to Device (tap to view live video) >> Settings >> Device Share >> Add. Follow the guide to share your device.
Failed to access live video (offline prompt)?
- Ensure the camera is powered on (network indicator light is on).
- Check if the Wi-Fi network is stable and restart your router.
- Move the camera closer to the router and check again.
- Remove the camera from the Arenti APP and add it again. Verify that both the APP and camera firmware are the latest versions. If problems persist, share the camera's indicator status and SN (found on the camera body) with support@arenti.com.
