JBL Headphones App
Enhance your listening experience with the free JBL Headphones App. Gain more control and personalization features.
How to Wear
- Try Different Sizes: Select the S/M/L eartips for a perfect fit and optimal audio performance.
- Optimal Wearing Position: Once in your ear, rotate the earbuds to find the most comfortable and secure position. Both earbuds should be worn when testing for fit.
- Check My Best Fit: Use the JBL Headphones App's 'Check My Best Fit' feature to ensure proper seal and audio quality.
First Time Use
- Remove the JBL Tour Pro 2 earbuds from their charging case.
- Place the earbuds back into the charging case to activate them.
- Connect the charging case to a power source using the USB-C cable to ensure a full charge before first use.
Power On & Connect
Bluetooth Pairing
The earbuds automatically enter pairing mode when taken out of the case for the first time.
For Other Devices:
Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and select "JBL TOUR PRO 2" to connect.
For Android™ 6.0+ (Fast Pair):
A pop-up notification will appear on your Android device. Tap to pair. The device will be tied to your Google Account.
For Windows 10 V1803+ (Microsoft Swift Pair):
A notification "New JBL TOUR PRO 2 found" will appear. Click "Connect" to pair.
Dual Connect + Sync
The JBL Tour Pro 2 supports both stereo and mono modes.
- Stereo Mode: Both left (L) and right (R) earbuds are used for a full stereo audio experience.
- Mono Mode: Either the left (L) or right (R) earbud can be used independently.
Multi-Point Connection
The JBL Tour Pro 2 can connect to a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously.
- To switch between devices, tap the earbud once.
- To initiate multi-point pairing, hold the earbud for 5 seconds.
Controls
Earbud Controls
The earbuds feature touch controls for various functions:
- Tap × 1: Play/Pause, Answer/End Call, ANC/Ambient Aware/TalkThru toggle (configurable via app).
- Tap × 2: Next Track, Reject Call, Activate Voice Assistant (configurable via app).
- Tap × 3: Previous Track (configurable via app).
- Hold (2s): Activate Voice Assistant (configurable via app).
Ambient Sound Control:
- ANC (Active Noise Cancelling): Blocks out external noise.
- Ambient Aware: Allows you to hear your surroundings while listening to music.
- TalkThru: Lowers music volume and amplifies voices for conversations without removing earbuds.
Voice Assistants:
Enable advanced controls and assign your preferred voice assistant (Google Assistant, Siri, Bixby, Amazon Alexa) through the JBL Headphones App.
Smart Case Controls
The smart charging case features a 1.45-inch display for direct control:
- Press × 1: Select options or confirm actions.
- Swipe: Navigate through menus and settings on the screen.
- The smart case allows control over ambient sound (ANC, Ambient Aware), volume, and other settings directly from its screen.
Auto Play/Pause
The earbuds automatically play music when inserted into your ears and pause when removed. This feature can be enabled or disabled via the JBL Headphones App under 'Auto Play & Pause'.
Silent Now
Silent Now allows you to activate Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) without Bluetooth connection or music playback, providing a quiet environment.
- Silent Now ON: Hold either earbud for 5 seconds. ANC is active, Bluetooth is off, and music is off. Provides up to 10 hours of quiet.
- Silent Now OFF: Hold either earbud for 5 seconds. ANC is off, Bluetooth is on, and music is on.
VoiceAware
VoiceAware allows you to control how much of your own voice you hear during calls by adjusting the microphone input routed back into your earbuds. This setting can be adjusted (Low, Mid, High) in the JBL Headphones App.
Power Off
To power off the JBL Tour Pro 2 earbuds, place them back into the charging case and close the lid. The earbuds will automatically power off and begin charging.
Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset:
- Place both earbuds in the charging case.
- Tap the touch control area on either earbud twice, then hold for 5 seconds. This will reset the earbuds to their factory settings.
Smart Case Settings
Customize your smart case experience through the JBL Headphones App:
- Brightness: Adjust the display brightness (Low, Mid, High).
- Screen Saver: Set the duration for the screen saver (e.g., 30s).
- Message Notification: Enable or disable message notifications on the case screen.
- Message Preview: Enable or disable message previews.
- Feature Shortcuts: Select which features you want quick access to on the smart case screen, such as Ambient Sound Control, Spatial Sound, Equalizer, VoiceAware, Auto Play & Pause, and SilentNow.
- Lock Screen Wallpaper: Customize the wallpaper for the smart case lock screen.
Do More with the App
The JBL Headphones App offers extensive customization and control:
- Voice Assistant: Select and activate your preferred voice assistant (Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Native Voice Assistant like Bixby/Siri). Only one voice assistant can be active at a time.
- Personi-Fi: A new way to personalize the sound of your headphones for a unique audio experience.
- Equalizer: Customize the audio output with various presets (Jazz, Vocal, Bass, Club, Studio) or create your own custom equalizer settings.
- Software Updates: Receive notifications for available software updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Ambient Sound Control: Fine-tune Noise Cancelling, Ambient Aware, and TalkThru modes.
- Customize ANC: Further personalize your Active Noise Cancelling experience.
Hands-Free Voice Control
Google Assistant
Get more done on the go by saying "Ok Google" to your JBL Tour Pro 2 earbuds. Pre-setup is required and is only available on Android™ devices (6.0 or higher).
Examples of commands:
- "Play my Workout playlist"
- "Turn on noise canceling"
- "Turn off ambient mode"
- "What's my schedule today?"
- "Set an alarm for 7 AM"
To use Google Assistant:
- Talk to Google Assistant: Tap and hold the voice button while talking, then release. Requires pairing with an eligible phone and internet connection.
- Get notifications: Tap and hold the voice button without talking, then release.
- Stop Google Assistant: Tap the voice button once.
- Reply to a message: After receiving a message notification, tap and hold the voice button to respond. Release when done.
Note: Google Assistant is available on eligible Android 6.0+ devices or later with Google Play Services, >1.5GB memory, and 720p or higher screen resolution. If you want to turn on or off Google Assistant, download the JBL Headphones App and select under Settings > Voice assistant.
Amazon Alexa
Ask Alexa to play music, answer questions, play the news, check the weather, set alarms, and control compatible smart home devices. Android™ 6.0 or higher is required for full access to Alexa features.
Examples of commands:
- "Alexa, play today's hits"
- "Alexa, volume up."
- "Alexa, skip this song."
- "Alexa, what's the weather?"
- "Alexa, turn off the TV."
- "Alexa, start my commute"
To set up Amazon Alexa:
- Connect your headphones to your mobile device.
- Open or download the Amazon Alexa app and follow the in-app instructions.
- In the Amazon Alexa app, navigate to the Device Page.
- Click the Plus (+) button on the top right and select 'Add Device'.
- Select your headphones from the list in the Available Devices section and complete the setup.
To use Amazon Alexa:
- Ask for the weather: "What's the weather?"
- Play audio: "Play today's hits." (Amazon Music is default, change in Alexa app).
- Voice control smart home devices: "Turn on the lights."
- Discover more skills: "What new skills do you have?"
- Stop Alexa: While Alexa is talking, say "stop" while tapping and holding the action button, then release.
Note: Alexa is not available in all languages and countries. If you want to turn on or off Amazon Alexa, download the JBL app and select under Settings > Voice assistant > Amazon Alexa.
Charging
The JBL Tour Pro 2 earbuds and charging case can be charged via USB-C cable or a Qi-certified wireless charging pad (not included).
- Charging Time: Approximately 2 hours for a full charge from empty.
- Quick Charge: 15 minutes of charging provides 4 hours of music playtime.
LED Behaviors
The LED indicators on the earbuds and charging case provide status information:
Earbud LEDs:
- Blue (flashing): Bluetooth connecting
- Blue (solid): Bluetooth connected
- Blue (off): Bluetooth not connected
Charging Case LEDs:
- Red (flashing): Low battery
- Red (solid): Charging

Important Information
Battery Lifespan
To prolong battery lifespan, fully charge the device at least once every 3 months. Battery life varies by use and settings.
IC RF Exposure Information and Statement
The device (6132A-TOURPRO2) has been tested and complies with the SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported for head use is 0.116 W/kg.
