Controller Overview
The 8BitDo Pro 2 Wired Controller for Xbox is designed for enhanced gaming performance. It features a comprehensive button layout including a directional pad (D-pad), two clickable analog sticks (Left Stick Button - LSB, Right Stick Button - RSB), and standard face buttons (A, B, X, Y). The controller also includes shoulder buttons (LB, RB), triggers (LT, RT), a menu button, a view button, a share button, a star button, and a profile button. A white status LED indicates the connection status, and a profile LED provides feedback on profile settings. For audio connectivity, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microphone mute switch are conveniently located on the bottom of the controller.
Connectivity
Connecting to Xbox Consoles
To connect the controller to your Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S console, simply use the included USB cable. Connect one end to the controller's USB port and the other to a USB port on the console. The white status LED on the controller will illuminate, indicating a successful connection.
Connecting to Windows 10 Devices
For use with Windows 10 devices, connect the controller via its USB cable. Plug the controller into a USB port on your computer. The status LED will light up to confirm a successful connection.
System Requirements: This controller requires Windows 10 or a later version. Compatibility is not guaranteed for devices running versions of Windows prior to Windows 10.
Quick Button Mapping
The Pro 2 Wired Controller allows for quick swapping of button functions for a personalized gaming experience. Please note that these custom mappings are temporary and will revert to the default configuration when the controller is powered off.
- To swap button functions, press and hold any two of the following buttons simultaneously: A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, LSB, or RSB.
- While holding the selected buttons, press the [star button]. The profile LED will blink to confirm that the swap has been successful.
- To cancel a custom button swap and restore the default function, press and hold any of the previously swapped buttons, then press the [star button] again.
Volume Control
Adjust your audio settings directly from the controller:
- To modify the main in-game volume, press and hold the [profile button] in combination with the D-pad Up or Down buttons.
- To fine-tune the balance between voice chat and game audio, press and hold the [profile button] in combination with the D-pad Left or Right buttons. Holding [profile button] + Left will decrease voice chat volume while increasing game volume. Conversely, holding [profile button] + Right will increase voice chat volume while decreasing game volume.

Unlock the full potential of your controller with the 8BitDo Ultimate Software. This application enables advanced customization options, including button remapping, precise adjustment of thumbstick sensitivity, alteration of trigger sensitivity, and configuration of vibration intensity.
The 8BitDo Ultimate Software is compatible with Xbox consoles, Windows 10 PCs, Android devices, and iOS devices.
To enter or exit the customization mode, simply press the [profile button]. The profile LED will illuminate to indicate that the customization features are active.
For example, you can assign the P1 and P2 buttons to function as L3/R3 or other desired button inputs.
