Controller Layout
The controller features a standard layout with two analog sticks, a D-pad, face buttons (A, B, X, Y), shoulder buttons (LB, RB), triggers (LT, RT), menu, view, share, and profile buttons. It also includes a 3.5mm audio jack and a microphone mute switch. The controller has a white status LED and a profile LED.

Connectivity
Xbox Series X / Xbox Series S / Xbox One
Connect the controller to your Xbox console using the provided USB cable. The status LED will turn solid when the connection is established and the controller is ready for use.
Windows 10
Connect the controller to your Windows 10 device via its USB cable. The status LED will turn solid when the connection is established. A minimum system requirement of Windows 10 version 1903 or above is needed.
Button Mapping
The controller allows for quick button swapping for temporary remapping. For permanent customization, use the 8BitDo Ultimate Software.
- Press and hold any two of the following buttons: A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, LSB, RSB.
- Press the Star button to swap the selected buttons. The profile LED will blink to confirm the swap.
- To cancel the swap, press and hold the swapped buttons again and then press the Star button. The button mapping will revert to default when the controller is turned off.
Note: Button mapping resets to default upon controller power off. For persistent changes, use the Ultimate Software.
Volume Control
Adjust in-game volume and voice chat balance using button combinations.
- In-game Volume: Press and hold the Profile button + Up/Down directional buttons to increase/decrease in-game volume. A beep indicates maximum/minimum volume.
- Voice/Game Volume Balance: Press and hold the Profile button + Left/Right directional buttons to adjust the balance. Pressing Left increases game volume while decreasing voice chat volume. Pressing Right decreases game volume while increasing voice chat volume. A vibration indicates the middle (default) value.

The 8BitDo Ultimate Software provides advanced customization options for your controller, including button mapping, stick and trigger sensitivity adjustments, and vibration control.
Visit app.8bitdo.com to download and use the software. The profile LED lights up when a profile is enabled.
