- Maintain proper water quality by using only chemicals intended for hot tubs. Damage to the hot tub caused by improper use of chemicals or insufficient water maintenance is not covered by the warranty. Consult your local pool or hot tub dealer for proper chemical use.
Water Maintenance
The hot tub owner must regularly check water quality and keep it clean and safe at planned intervals (daily, if necessary). The use of disinfectants and other chemicals will control the proliferation of bacteria and viruses. Maintaining proper water balance through the correct use of disinfectants is the most important factor in maximizing the lifespan and appearance of the hot tub, as well as ensuring clean, healthy, and safe water. Proper technique is important for testing and treating hot tub water. Contact your dealer with questions about chemicals, disinfection, and water testing procedures.
Water Balancing
Follow these instructions for hot tub water maintenance.
PARAMETER | MEASUREMENT FREQUENCY | CORRECT LEVEL |
---|---|---|
pH | 1 x daily | 7.2-7.6 with chlorine; 7.2-7.8 with bromine |
Free Chlorine | 1 x daily | 3-5 ppm |
Bromine | 1 x daily | 2-4 ppm |
Total Alkalinity (TA) | 1 x weekly | 80-120 ppm |
Total Hardness (TH) | 1 x weekly | 200-500 ppm |
NOTES:
- Low pH values will damage the tub body and electrical components. Damage caused by chemical imbalance is not covered by the warranty.
- High pH values and associated water hardness cause deposits inside the technology, leading to damage, which is not covered by the warranty.
[Diagram showing filter cleaning and jet removal]
Water Care:
- Immediately after treating the water with chemicals, turn on the filtration and bubble function to circulate the treated water through the entire internal piping of the tub.
- Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and warnings for the chemicals you use.
- The use of chlorine-based products for water maintenance negatively affects the lifespan of the hot tub and can also cause fading of the inner liner colors.
- Therefore, the manufacturer recommends using oxygen- or bromine-based products.
- Never mix different types of chemicals. Always add individual chemicals to the water separately. Allow each product to dissolve completely in water before adding it to the hot tub.
- Chlorine and bromine products should not be mixed under any circumstances, as it is very dangerous. If you normally use chlorine-based products and want to switch to bromine-based products or vice versa, you must completely change the water in the hot tub before making this change.
- Never add any chemicals to the hot tub while someone is in it. This can cause severe skin and eye irritation.
- Never use excessive amounts of chemicals or concentrated chlorine. This can damage the hot tub and your skin. Damage caused by improper use of chemicals is not covered by the warranty.
