Installation Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling your Zinus SmartBase Euro Slats Mattress Foundation.
Components
- A: Bolts (8 pieces)
- B: Washers (6 pieces)
- C: Allen Wrench (1 piece)
- D: Open Wrench (1 piece)
Assembly Steps
Preparation
Before starting the installation, remove your mattress, bedding, and any other items from the top of the platform.
Step 1: Unscrew Corner Bolts
Begin at one corner of the frame. Use the Allen wrench (C) to unscrew the two bolts connected to that corner. Simultaneously, use the open wrench (D) to hold the corresponding nut on the underside of the frame in place while you unscrew the bolt.
Step 2: Attach Corner Brackets
Place one corner bracket (A) on the top of the frame's corner and a second corner bracket (A) on the bottom of the same corner. Secure these brackets in place using the existing two bolts. Use the Allen wrench (C) to tighten the bolts. For the bolts on the underside, use the open wrench (D) to hold the nuts in place as you tighten. Repeat this process for the remaining three corners of the bed frame (total of 4 corner bracket installations).
Step 3: Attach Side Legs
For each side leg, locate the attachment points. Loosen an existing bolt at each point, insert a washer (B) onto the bolt, and re-tighten the bolt. Repeat this process for all side legs, utilizing the provided washers (B).
