User Manual
Introduction
The Ecler LABI1 Series devices are specifically designed to offer a compact loudspeaker system solution for mobile and fixed installations where high output power and excellent sound quality are required, along with easy and simple installation. The diverse range of products and accessories allows for various configurations depending on the need.
The series consists of three loudspeakers: an active 18" subwoofer with 18 different DSP configurations, a passive 18" subwoofer, and a 1m column loudspeaker with 12x3" transducers. Various mounting accessories are available for easy installation of the C100i loudspeaker on different surfaces (on the subwoofer, on the wall, on stands, trusses, etc.), as well as a special accessory for outdoor column applications.

Operation and Connection
LABI1-SB18p
The LABI1-SB18p operates with 100-240VAC 50-60Hz with PFC (Power Factor Correction). Ensure the power cable does not interfere with audio signal cables to prevent interference and hum. The AC connection is a 16A Neutrik® Powercon TRUE1 connector for powering another LABI1-SB18p.
For mounting instructions and further information on this connector, visit: https://www.neutrik.com/en/product/nac3fx-w
Connections
- The LABI1-SB18p has two symmetrical XLR audio input sockets, labeled Input1 and Input2. Output1 and Output2 (also XLR connectors) allow connecting a second LABI1-SB18p. These outputs mirror the signal received at the respective inputs. Preset selection determines input-output configurations for stereo or mono operation. The subwoofer output always operates in mono mode (In1+In2).
- To connect LABI1-C100i column loudspeakers, use the Speakon® cable from the CABINET1 or CABINET2 output connectors of the SB18p to the C100i's Speakon® input. Depending on the selected preset, both outputs or only one can operate in mono or stereo mode with 600W@4Ω. The LINK output allows connecting two C100i column loudspeakers via Speakon® or Euroblock connector.
- The passive subwoofer LABI1-SB18 has one input and one STACK output with a Speakon® socket.
Configuration Panel
The rear panel of the LABI1-SB18p features an LCD display with information and configuration tools for digital control of the loudspeaker system. A compact joystick below the display allows configuration of the internal DSP's basic functions.
Navigation: Use the joystick to select symbols on the left side of the screen. Available functions:
- Home: Displays input and output levels (VU meters for input and output, clip indicator, compressor status, dynamic activity).
- Settings: Allows adjustment of audio parameters like Gain, Mute, Polarity, Delay, and High-Pass Filter (type, cutoff frequency, and filter order).
- Folder: Displays preset names and descriptions. Use the joystick to change presets.
- Information: Shows general information about the unit's internal components (Model, Serial Number, DSP Firmware/Hardware Version, Amplifier Module Model/Hardware Version, Accelerometer status).
Ethernet Configuration: Allows Ethernet configuration and selection between automatic or manual settings. Also allows setting the screen saver behavior and selecting the input source (analog or AES3), assigning it to Channel 1 or Channel 2.
Note: Desired configurations must be applied to each unit individually and must be powered on to function correctly. The display dims automatically when no changes are made. Press the joystick to reactivate the backlight.
Installation and Configuration
LABI1-C100i: ACOUSTIC CENTER
When installing the C100i column loudspeakers, it is crucial to consider that the acoustic center of the column is located between the six upper loudspeakers. The correct operating height is where the "acoustic center" is located.
The LABI1-C100i is in its normal position when the ECLER logo is at the bottom of the column. If two columns are to be combined into a single unit, the upper column must be inverted so that a single "acoustic center" of the column is created.
The following diagrams show the green shaded areas indicating the "acoustic center" of the LABI1-C100i loudspeaker columns.

ACTIVE LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEMS
7.2.1. PRESETS
There are 18 presets available, selected via the LCD display. These presets are grouped into 6 different loudspeaker configuration groups, each with 3 DSP configurations for user selection:
- Standard-EQ (S): General equalizer setting for standard music applications.
- Bass boost (B): +3dB on the subwoofer output for music applications requiring bass enhancement.
- Voice-EQ (V): This equalizer setting emphasizes mid and high frequencies for speech applications, improving intelligibility.
The following table summarizes the available presets:

7.2.2. LOUDSPEAKER CONFIGURATION
- Preset 1/2/3 & 13/14/15 (+LABI1-CAC & SAC): Diagram showing configuration. Caution: Remember that the upper column must be installed inverted.
- Preset 4/5/6 & 16/17/ (+LABI1-SAC): Diagram showing configuration.
- Preset 7/8/9 (+2×LABI1-CAC): Diagram showing configuration. Caution: Remember that the upper column must be installed inverted.

Thanks to its accessories, the LABI1-C100i can be installed in various ways: on stands (PBC), on the wall (WBC), on trusses (TBC), or on the floor (HBC). The LABI1-CFC wheel set ensures that all these systems are mobile and can be easily transported wherever needed.
7.3. PASSIVE LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEMS
In addition to active loudspeaker systems, the LABI ONE series offers the possibility of installation with passive loudspeaker systems with external amplification. The passive LABI1-SB18 subwoofer is designed for integration into fixed loudspeaker systems. In conjunction with the C100i column loudspeaker and an external power amplifier, various configurations can be realized according to the user's needs, utilizing all available accessories.
There is no strict rule for the number of column loudspeakers per subwoofer; it mainly depends on the subwoofer's placement and the room's acoustics. For example, a single subwoofer in a highly reflective room might affect intelligibility, while rooms with highly sound-absorbent surfaces might require multiple subwoofers. Generally, placing a subwoofer near multiple surfaces improves its efficiency. Consequently, you will achieve a higher sound pressure level by placing the loudspeaker in a corner on the floor, rather than directly next to a wall or in the middle of the room.
