Product Overview
The 433MHz GIGALINK™ transmitters represent advanced Remote Control technology. GIGALINK™ is an invention that has revolutionized remote control technology, building upon Elsema's earlier FMT and FMR series. The GLT43312 series offers a new dimension in remote control for domestic, commercial, and industrial applications.
Features
- Available in one, two, four, and eight channel configurations.
- Wide supply voltage range: 11.0 to 24.0 Volts DC.
- Over four billion code combinations with no visible dipswitches, enabling high-security applications.
- Operates on 433 MHz transmissions, providing no interference from electrical noise or other signals.
- Utilizes microcontroller technology, replacing traditional dipswitch coding to eliminate code grabbing.
- Includes a built-in battery monitor; a red LED flashes at 1Hz during transmission when battery voltage drops below 6.5V (indicating a low battery).
- Allows programming of an unlimited number of transmitters to a single receiver, offering unlimited expandability.
- Employs Gigalink technology, which uses a receiver cable for transmitter programming. Some transmitters and receivers can be programmed over-the-air, which carries a risk of code interception.
Applications
- Security: Wireless activation/deactivation of domestic or industrial alarms.
- Gate operation.
- Panic buttons.
- Remote activation of lights.
- Simultaneous operation of multiple on/off functions.
Operating Distance
An operating distance of up to 1000 metres is possible when used with an ANT433M antenna. Range tests were conducted in an open area test site with line-of-sight operation.
Case
The GLT43312 Series transmitters are housed in an alloy metal case. The GLT4330812NC is provided as a PCB assembly only.
Transmitter modes are user-selectable via a 2-Way dip-switch located on the transmitter board.
Transmitter Modes
Mode Diagram (DIP Switch Position) | Description |
---|---|
[Diagram: Two switches, first ON, second OFF] Off Delay 2 – 62 seconds | The transmitter sends a 1.5-second transmission burst, followed by a user-selectable "off delay" period ranging from 2 to 62 seconds, adjusted via a trimpot. If another channel is activated during the off delay, the new channel transmits immediately. Once the off delay expires, another burst is sent. The transmitter cycles indefinitely as long as at least one channel is activated and power is supplied. |
[Diagram: Two switches, first ON, second ON] Off Delay 10sec – 10 minutes | Similar to Mode 1, but the "off delay" is user-selectable between 10 seconds and 10 minutes. |
[Diagram: Two switches, second ON] Continuous Transmission* | The transmitter transmits continuously when at least one channel is activated and power is connected. A transmission limit of five minutes is enforced to comply with local radio regulations. To maintain receiver activation beyond 5 minutes, a delay-off feature in the receiver (e.g., GLR43301) should be set for a longer duration than the transmitter's off delay. This ensures the transmitter continuously resets the receiver's off delay. Further details are available at www.elsema.com/contitran.htm. |
[Diagram: Two switches, first ON] 1.5 – 10 seconds one burst transmission | The transmitter sends a single burst and then enters standby or sleep mode. The burst length is adjustable via the trimpot. When another channel is activated and power is connected, the transmitter emits a new burst. |
Sleep mode (drawing 20 uA) is activated when all 8 channels are OFF. This applies to all four modes.

Block Diagram
The system block diagram illustrates the core components of the transmitter. It begins with a 9V battery, which is regulated down to 5V. This 5V supply powers a microcontroller. The microcontroller manages coding and utilizes a 6MHz RC oscillator and a 6780KHz oscillator (frequency divided by 64). The output signal undergoes ASK Modulation, is processed by a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO), amplified, and filtered before being sent to the antenna. A red LED serves as a battery monitor, flashing at 1Hz for low battery (below 6.5V) and flickering at 12.5Hz for normal transmission.
