What's in the box
Your vacuum cleaner comes with the following parts:
- Vacuum cleaner: With built-in head, battery, and bin.
- All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head: Intelligently recognises floor type and adjusts power for deep carpet cleaning and gentle hard floor cleaning.
- Conical brush bar 2.0 head: Conically shaped brush bar that directs hair spirally into the bin. Motorised for cleaning smaller spaces.
- Combination head: Two heads in one, with a crevice tool and brush for quick switching between cleaning and dusting anywhere in the home or car.
- Crevice tool: Designed for precise cleaning of tight corners and hard-to-reach narrow spaces.
- Wand with remote release and built-in tool: Quick head changes for switching between tasks. Pressing the red button easily releases the wand to reveal the built-in handheld tool.

- Charger: Charges the vacuum in the wall dock or separately.
- Wall dock: The Dyson cordless vacuum clicks into the wall dock with two heads, ready for the next clean.
- Soft dusting brush: Gentle on delicate surfaces. Self-cleaning – the rotating cuff keeps bristles dust-free.
- Stiff bristle brush: Stiff nylon bristles dislodge dried-in dirt from coarse carpets and car interiors.
- Flexi crevice tool: Extends the reach of the built-in tool by up to 75 cm, for cleaning high up, down low, and anywhere in the home or car.
- Hair screw tool: Picks up long hair and pet hair. The conical brush bar spirals hair into the bin. For use on pet beds, upholstery, and stairs.
- High-torque cleaner head with de-tangling technology: Automatically adapts to different floor types. Powerful suction to remove dust and allergens.
- Stubborn dirt brush: Stiff nylon bristles dislodge dried-in dirt from coarse carpets and car interiors.
- Extension hose: Adds flexibility for cleaning around obstacles or in tight spaces.
- Mattress tool 2.0: Re-engineered to remove hair, allergens, and dust mites from mattresses and upholstery.
- Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head: Removes spills and stains from hard floors with the new generation wet roller head. Now with moisture control.
- Floor Dok™: Freestanding charging station designed to store the vacuum and up to 5 accessories, keeping them ready for use.
Getting started
Using the LCD display: Press the red button on the LCD display to turn the appliance on.
Connecting your device: Connect via Bluetooth ? or scan the QR code on the appliance's LCD display.
Power modes: The appliance has three power modes for different tasks. Switch between modes using the silver button.
- Eco mode: Maximum run time for longer cleaning sessions.
- Auto mode: Automatically balances power and run time. Suction power increases automatically when higher dust levels are detected.
- Boost mode: Designed for short, intensive bursts of cleaning for deep-seated dirt.
Remote release: Quick head changes for switching between tasks. Pressing the red ring easily releases the head, without needing to bend down. For convenient whole-home cleaning.
Shows when the floor is clean: The piezo sensor continuously measures and counts dust particles. The columns will rise and fall depending on the amount of debris and dust detected. Red indicates a high level of dust, orange a medium level, and green a relatively clean area.
LCD display
Settings menu: Control appliance settings using the Select button. To enter the settings menu, press and hold the button until the menu screen appears. Press the button to scroll through the menu options.
Press and hold the button to confirm a selection. Options include: Wireless technology Bluetooth® ?, Language, System, Appliance reset.

Changing language: To change the language, press and hold the Select button until the list of available languages appears. Release the button.
Tap the Select button to scroll through the language list and select your preferred language.
Press and hold the button until the countdown finishes. Your selected language will appear on the display with a green tick symbol ✔️, and the setting is complete.
To cancel, release the button during the countdown.
Finding the serial number: The serial number can be found in settings. Tap the Select button to scroll through settings until you reach 'System'. Press and hold the button to select this option. The serial number information will be displayed on the first screen.
Alerts
Alerts that may appear include:
Airway blocked: The appliance is blocked by an obstruction and needs to be cleared. Refer to the animation to identify which part of the airway needs checking. Turn off the vacuum before checking it.

High storage temperature: Your appliance is stored in a place that is too hot. Move the vacuum to a cooler location.

Low temperature: The appliance temperature is too low. Move the vacuum to a warmer environment to increase its temperature.

Non-Dyson battery: A non-genuine battery has been detected. If you are unaware of using a battery from another manufacturer for your appliance, it may be counterfeit.

Clean filter: The filter needs cleaning. See 'Washing the filter unit' for details. Follow the animation to see how to wash the filter. Allow the filter unit to dry for at least 24 hours before refitting.

Filter not fitted: The filter is not fitted correctly. Turn the filter unit counter-clockwise and remove it from the appliance. Re-insert the filter unit into the top of the vacuum and turn clockwise until it clicks into place.

CleanCompactor™ mechanism not fitted: Push the CleanCompactor™ mechanism back into position at the top of the bin and ensure the lever is pulled fully up before turning it back into position. Restart the appliance using the red power button. Note that if the lever is turned or tilted, the motor will shut off.

Brush bar stuck: The brush bar or floor head may be blocked and has become stuck. Move the appliance away from the cleaning surface and restart it to see if the blockage persists. If it does, check for blockages in the airway and ensure no debris is accumulating around the brush bar cones. Remove the outer shroud and check for blockages inside. The cones can be removed and checked for dust or debris. Once clean, re-fit the floor head and restart the appliance.

Getting started with the MyDyson™ app
Download the MyDyson™ app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account.
Connecting your device: Scan the QR code on the appliance's LCD display or find your appliance through the MyDyson™ app.
Hold your mobile device next to the appliance. To activate pairing mode, press the power button.
Once paired, follow the in-app instructions to set your language and activate your warranty. Setup is now complete.
Floor care
Check that the underside of the floor head or tool is clean and free of foreign objects that could cause damage.
Before vacuuming floors, rugs, or carpets, read the cleaning instructions provided by the flooring manufacturer.
The appliance brush bar may damage certain types of carpets and floors. Some carpets may fray when vacuumed using the rotating brush bar. If this happens, we recommend vacuuming without the motor-bar and consulting the flooring manufacturer.
Charging the appliance
You can use the appliance immediately or partially charge it without needing to fully charge it before first use.
Connect the vacuum to the charger either directly or via the wall dock.
Blue LED lights will flash on both sides of the battery during charging.
Once the battery is fully charged, both LED lights will illuminate for 5 seconds.
The battery is fully charged when the display shows 100% ?.
If the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F), the appliance will not operate or charge. This is to protect the motor and battery.
Replacing the battery
If you have additional batteries, we recommend alternating them for consistent performance.
Removing the battery: Press the release button and remove the battery. Charge the battery.
Re-inserting the battery: Align the battery with the handle and slide it in. Push firmly until it clicks into place.

Dust compression
To compress dust, press the red compression lever down and then return it to its original position. Pressing the lever will interrupt power to the appliance.
Emptying the bin
Empty the bin when the debris reaches the MAX line – do not allow the bin to overfill. Using the appliance when debris is above the MAX line may affect its performance and require more frequent filter cleaning.
Overfilling the bin may cause inaccurate particle count and display.
The appliance must be switched off when emptying; first slide out the wand and then open the bin.

Removing the wand: Press the red release button on the top of the wand and slide it out of the bin.
Releasing debris: First compress the contents of the bin, then hold the appliance over a waste bin, pointing it downwards.
Press the silver release lever to open the base of the bin.
Then, firmly press the red compression lever. The bin will slide down, cleaning its interior as it passes.
The bin base will not open unless the silver release lever is fully pressed down.
Minimising dust exposure: When emptying, insert the bottom end of the bin into a dust-tight bag and seal it. Press the silver lever to open the bin base. Carefully remove the bin and seal and dispose of the bag.
Closing the bin: Push the bin base upwards until the bin and its base click into place.

Cleaning the bin
Removing the bin: First open the bin base, then press the buttons on both sides to release the bin and slide it out of the guide rail.
Re-fitting the bin: Align the guide slots on the bin with the slots on the guide rail. Close the bin by pushing its base upwards until the bin and its base click into place.

Clearing blockages
Before searching for blockages, unplug your appliance from the charger. Be careful not to press the power button and injure yourself on sharp objects.
Allow the appliance to cool down before searching for blockages.
Do not use the appliance when searching for and clearing obstructions. Injury may occur.
If the appliance detects a blockage, the motor will pulse, and you will not be able to use the appliance until the blockage is removed.
If you attempt to use the appliance while the motor is pulsing, it will automatically shut off.
Check the main body: Remove the bin and check the main body of the appliance for any blockages.
Before using the appliance again, ensure all obstructions have been removed and all parts are back in place.
Check the wand and floor head: Check that nothing is blocking the wand. Check that nothing is blocking the floor head, and if necessary, follow the instructions for removing the brush bar.
Reassembling the appliance: Refit all parts before using the appliance. The removal of obstructions is not covered by the warranty.
Removing obstructions from the All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head
The All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head does not have a washable brush bar. To maintain optimal performance, regularly check the brush bar and remove debris.
Ensure the charger is disconnected from the appliance and be careful not to press the power button.
Do not put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher or use any cleaning agents, polishes, or air fresheners.
Removing the shroud and brush bars: Lift the plastic clips on the left and right sides of the rear of the floor head and release the shroud. Twist and pull to remove each brush bar.
Finding debris and obstructions: Remove any debris from the brush bar. Check the inside of the floor head and remove any debris and obstructions.
The All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head and brush bar are not washable. Wipe them with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Reassembling the All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head: Re-fit the brush bars so that the colour of the plastic collar on the cone matches the colour of the floor head. Re-fit the shroud by gently sliding it back into place and clicking the clips.

Removing obstructions from the conical brush bar 2.0 head
The conical brush bar 2.0 head does not have a washable brush bar. To maintain optimal performance, regularly check the brush bar and remove any debris.
Ensure the charger is disconnected from the appliance and be careful not to press the power button.
Do not put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher or use any cleaning agents, polishes, or air fresheners.
Removing the shroud and brush bars: Remove the conical brush bar 2.0 head from the wand or appliance. Press down on the base plate to open it. Press the red lever down to release the head shroud. Pull to remove the shroud from the main body of the head.
Finding debris and obstructions: Pull firmly on the brush bar to remove it from the main head. Check and remove any debris and obstructions from all three parts of the conical brush bar head.
The conical brush bar 2.0 head is not washable. Wipe it with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Reassembling the conical brush bar 2.0 head: Slide the brush bar back into place and push firmly until it clicks. Ensure the red lever is in the unlocked position. Slide the head shroud into the groove on the main head. Push it down until it clicks into place. Push the red lever up until it clicks, and push the base plate back into place.
Using the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head
Step 1: Hold the wet roller head by the edges, press the red release button, and slide out the removable cassette from the main head.
Step 2: Remove the water tank cap.
Step 3: Fill the water tank with clean water up to the 'MAX' line.
Step 4: Replace the water tank cap and screw it on securely.
Step 5: Slide the dirt disposal tank and water tank back onto the main head until they click. Attach the wet roller head main body to the vacuum wand.
The LCD display will show the remaining battery capacity in percent ?.
You can perform wet cleaning until the water tank is empty or the battery is depleted. To continue cleaning, simply empty the dirt disposal tank and refill the water tank. Do not clean on wet with an empty water tank, as this may overheat the motor.

Cleaning the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head
Step 1: Turn off the vacuum and detach the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head from the wand. Immediately place it in the drip tray to prevent dirty water from dripping.
Step 2: Hold the wet roller head horizontally in the drip tray.
Step 3: Hold the wet roller head over a sink. Remove it from the drip tray. Hold the wet roller head by the edges, press the red release button, and slide out the removable cassette from the main head. Remove the red dirty water tank cap and empty the dirt disposal tank.
Step 4: Ensure water does not enter the wet roller head connection to the wand, as this could damage the connection. Dismantle the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head. All parts of the wet roller head can be washed with water and a household antibacterial solution diluted according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Empty any remaining water from the water tank.
Step 5: Allow the wet roller brush to dry in a warm, well-ventilated area. Use a cloth to wipe away any debris or excess water from the main head, dirt disposal tank, and water tank. We recommend replacing the wet roller brush every six months, depending on vacuum usage, to maintain performance.
Washing the filter unit
To maintain optimal suction power, wash the filter unit at least once a month.
Important: The filter unit must be completely dry before refitting it to the appliance. Using a damp filter could damage your appliance.

Removing: Turn the filter unit counter-clockwise and slide it out of the appliance.
Tapping out: Before washing the filter unit, gently tap it into a waste bin to remove loose dust and debris.
Washing: First, rinse the pleated paper filter under warm running water, with the foam part facing downwards. Then, wash the foam part of the filter – gently rub it with your fingers to remove dirt and fine dust. Gently squeeze the foam part of the filter under cool running water while holding the filter under running water, turned to the side. Repeat rinsing until clean water runs through.
Emptying water and drying: Empty the filter unit and remove excess water by shaking it gently. Continue shaking water out until no more water drips from the filter unit. Stand the filter unit on its wider end and leave it to dry for at least 24 hours in a dry, well-ventilated, and warm place. After cleaning the filter, wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap. Ensure the filter unit is completely dry. Once completely dry, re-insert the filter unit into the top of the vacuum and turn clockwise until it clicks into place. Do not dry the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near an open flame.
Important: The filter unit must be completely dry before refitting it to the appliance. Using a damp filter could damage your appliance.

Washing the All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head brushes
The All Floor Cones™ Sense floor head has washable brush bars. To maintain optimal performance, regularly check and wash the brush bar.
Ensure the charger is disconnected from the appliance and be careful not to press the power button.
Do not put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher or use any cleaning agents, polishes, or air fresheners.
Removing the shroud and brush bars: Lift the plastic clips on the left and right sides of the rear of the floor head and release the shroud. Unscrew the brush bars and remove them.
Washing and drying brush bars: Hold the brush bars under running water and gently rub to remove any lint and debris. Stand the brush bar upright as shown. Leave it to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
Re-fitting brush bars: Before re-fitting, ensure the brush bars are completely dry. Re-fit the brush bars so that the colour of the plastic collar on the cone matches the colour of the floor head. Re-fit the shroud by gently sliding it back into place.

Cleaning the optical lens: To maintain optimal performance, it is essential to keep the optical lens clean. Clean the laser lens only when the floor head is not attached to the appliance. Use only a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the laser lens.
Cleaning heads
Do not put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher or use any cleaning agents, polishes, or air fresheners.
Wipe with a damp, lint-free cloth, without touching the connection port. Ensure the heads are completely dry before use.
Conical brush bar 2.0 head: Improved edge-to-edge cleaning removes even longer hair. Additional textile strips to reduce snagging on soft furnishings.
Combination head: Two heads in one – crevice and brush. Easy switching between cleaning and dusting anywhere in the home or car.
Crevice tool: Designed for precise cleaning of tight corners, narrow spaces, and hard-to-reach areas.
Soft dusting brush: Gentle on delicate surfaces. The ultra-fine brush has soft bristles for cleaning delicate surfaces.
Stiff bristle brush: Stiff nylon bristles dislodge stubborn dirt. For coarse carpets and high-traffic areas to car interiors.
Flexi crevice tool: Extends the reach of the built-in tool by up to 75 cm, for cleaning high up, down low, and anywhere in the home or car.
Hair screw tool: Picks up long hair and pet hair. The conical brush bar spirals hair into the bin. For use on pet beds, upholstery, and stairs.
Crevice tool with flexible joint 2.0: The crevice tool with a flexible joint is narrow and long, and can be angled to 22° for cleaning tight crevices and hard-to-reach places. It offers all the benefits of the soft dusting brush and the crevice tool with a flexible joint in one.
Under-appliance adaptor: New built-in tool for faster cleaning. Designed to clean further under low furniture by angling the wand up to 90°.
Mattress tool 2.0: Re-engineered to remove even more dust, hair, allergens, and dust mites from mattresses and upholstery.
