Floor Care
Check that the underside of the cleaner head or tool is clean and free from objects that could cause damage.
Before cleaning your floors, carpets, and rugs, check the manufacturer's cleaning instructions.
The vacuum cleaner's brush bar can damage certain carpet types and floors. Some carpets may shed fibers when a spinning brush bar is used during vacuuming. If this happens, we recommend continuing the cleaning process without the direct-drive cleaner head and contacting the flooring manufacturer.
Charging the Device
You can use or partially charge your device immediately. The battery does not need to be fully charged before first use. You can either connect the device directly to the mains adapter or place it in the charging dock.
During charging, the blue LEDs on each side of the battery will flash. When the battery is fully charged, both LEDs will light up for five seconds. The battery is fully charged when "100%" is displayed. The device cannot be used or charged if the ambient temperature is below 5°C. This is to protect both the motor and the battery.
Swapping the Click-in Battery
If you have additional click-in batteries, we recommend swapping between them regularly to ensure consistent performance.
Removing the Battery: Press the release button down to release the battery. Charge the battery.
Reinserting the Battery: Align the battery with the handle and slide it in. Push it firmly into place until it clicks.
Dust Compression
To compress the dust in the bin, press the red lever down. Then move it back up to its original position. The device will turn off during dust compression.
Emptying the Dustbin
Empty the bin as soon as the dirt reaches the MAX mark. Do not overfill the bin. If you use the device after the dirt has exceeded the MAX mark, performance may be affected, and more frequent filter washing may be required. If the dustbin is overfilled, particle counting may be inaccurate.
Ensure your device is switched off before removing the suction tube or releasing the bin.
Removing the Suction Tube: Press the red suction tube release button located at the top of the suction tube and pull the suction tube away from the dustbin.
Emptying Dirt: First, compress the contents in the dustbin. Then, hold the device over the bin with the dustbin pointing downwards. Press the silver dustbin release lever to open the bin base. Then, press the red compression lever down firmly. The bin will slide down, cleaning the inside. The bin base will only open if the silver dustbin release lever has been fully pressed down.
Minimizing Dust Contact: Enclose the bin opening with a dust-proof plastic bag when emptying. Press the silver button to open the bin base. Carefully remove the dustbin, seal the plastic bag tightly, and dispose of it.
Closing the Dustbin: Push the bin base upwards until the bin and bin base click into place.
Cleaning the Dustbin
Removing the Dustbin: First, open the bin base and then press the buttons on both sides of the bin to release it and slide it off the rail.
Reinserting the Dustbin: Place the dustbin onto the rail. Close the bin by pushing the bin base upwards until the bin and bin base click into place.
Removing Blockages
Disconnect the device from the charger before searching for blockages. Ensure your device is switched off and be aware of sharp objects. Allow the device to cool down before searching for blockages. Do not use the device while searching for blockages, as this could lead to injury.
If the device detects a blockage, the motor will pulse, and you will not be able to use the device until the blockage is removed. If you attempt to use the device while the motor is pulsing, it will automatically shut off.
Checking the Device Body: Remove the dustbin and check the device body for blockages. Ensure the device is free of blockages and all parts have been reinserted before using the device again.
Checking the Suction Tube and Cleaner Head: Check the suction tube for blockages. Check the cleaner head for blockages and follow the instructions for removing the brush bar if necessary.
Reassembling the Device: Reassemble all parts securely and correctly. Removing blockages is not covered by your warranty.

Using the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 Wet Roller Head
Step 1: Hold the wet roller head at the ends, press the red Quick Release button, and slide the removable cassette out of the main cleaner head.
Step 2: Remove the end cap from the clean water tank.
Step 3: Fill the clean water tank to the "MAX" mark with clean water.
Step 4: Replace the end cap onto the clean water tank.
Step 5: Slide the dirty water tank and clean water tank back into the main cleaner head until you hear a click. Attach the main cleaner head to the wand.
Your device's display will show the remaining battery life as a percentage. You can clean your floors until the water in the clean water tank runs out or the battery life is nearing its end. To continue wet cleaning, simply empty the dirty water tank and refill the clean water tank.
Never start wet cleaning with an empty clean water tank to prevent the motor from overheating.
Cleaning the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 Wet Roller Head
Step 1: Switch off your device and detach the Dyson Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head from the wand. Place it directly into the drip tray to prevent any dirty water from spilling.
Step 2: Hold the wet roller head horizontally in the drip tray.
Step 3: Hold the wet roller head over a sink. Remove it from the drip tray. Hold the wet roller head at the ends, press the red Quick Release button, and slide the removable cassette out of the main cleaner head. Remove the red end cap from the dirty water tank to empty it.
Step 4: Ensure the joint does not come into contact with water, as this could damage the connection to the wand. Disassemble the Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller head. All parts of the wet roller head can be washed with water and an antibacterial household solution, diluted according to the manufacturer's recommended amount. Empty any remaining water from the clean water tank.
Step 5: Air dry the wet roller bar in a warm, well-ventilated area. Use a cloth to remove dirt and excess water from the main cleaner head, as well as the dirty water tank and clean water tank. We recommend replacing the wet roller bar every six months, depending on how often you use your device, to maintain performance.
Washing the Filter
Wash the filter at least once a month to ensure optimal suction power. Important: The filter must be completely dry before you reinsert it into the device. The device could be damaged if used with a damp filter.

Rotate: Turn the filter counter-clockwise and pull it off the device.
Tap: Tap the filter gently over a bin before washing to remove loose dust and debris.
Washing: First, wash the paper element of the filter unit; hold the filter unit under warm running tap water with the foam element facing downwards. Next, wash the foam element of the filter. The foam element should continue to face downwards. Hold the filter to the side, run warm water over the outside of the foam element, and gently rub the filter with your fingers to remove dirt. Repeat the process until the water runs clear.
Shake and Dry: Empty the filter and shake it vigorously to remove excess water. Continue shaking until no more water comes out of the filter. Place the filter on its wider end and leave it to air dry in a warm, well-ventilated area for at least 24 hours. After cleaning the filter, wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap. Ensure the filter unit is completely dry. Reinsert the filter unit into the main unit and turn it clockwise until it clicks into place. Do not place the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near an open flame to dry.
Important: The filter must be completely dry before you reinsert it into the device. The device could be damaged if used with a damp filter.
