Diagram and Components
The document includes a diagram illustrating the Blaupunkt DC-S4/DC-S4B Door/Window Detector and its components. The main detector unit features:
- 1. LED Indicator / Learn Button: Used for status indication and device pairing.
- 2. Knockouts: Pre-scored points on the unit for screw mounting.
- 3. Battery Insulator: A tab to be removed to activate the battery upon first use.
- 4. Rib Mark: A visual guide for aligning the magnet during installation.
- 5. Magnet: A separate component that works with the detector to sense when a door or window is opened.
- 6. Tamper: A switch that triggers an alert if the detector unit is opened or tampered with.
The diagram also shows the typical installation setup, where the main detector unit is mounted on the door or window frame, and the magnet is mounted on the door or window itself. The maximum recommended gap between the detector and the magnet when the door/window is closed is 15 mm.
